"I'm sorry mama, but the meatloaf made me cuss." I made this today with italian breadcrumbs. I didn't know what to expect. When I put the bbq sauce together, as soon as the sauce hit my tongue I became prissy and cross-eyed staggering around my kitchen to catch my balance. "So good!" In my bbq stupor, I knew adding the sauteed veggies would be delicious, but the flavor in this meatloaf...(I need a momment to reflect on it's goodness...brought tears to my eyes. It was platform shoe OUTSTANDING! The sauce was tangy, thick, sweet and spicy. (The sauce and the ground turkey consumated their marriage and the two became one. We love you Neely's for keeping the flavor in your loving of one another, in your food and for sharing it all with us!

I found this to be an excellent recipe and this is coming from a person who hates ground turkey. Gina was right you could not tell it was ground turkey. lol Very tasty.

This was amazing and definitely a MUST TRY! I've tried to do beef bbq meatloafs in the past and they always end up giving us heart burn because of the fat content, not with the ground turkey. It was moist and delicious. I also took the time to break down the Neely's bbq seasoning to what we needed for just this recipe (2 tsp Paprika, 3 tsp Sugar, 1/3 tsp Onion Powder.

Excellent, I used an asian bbq galze/sauce instead. Also since I was out of breadcrumbs I chopped up garlic croutons. However, even at 400 degrees it requires at least 1.5 hours cook time in the oven. During cooking I cut the loaf into slices so that it could bake through and used the run off sauce to baste. Loved it.

YUM!! I made this recipe last night with half ground beef and half ground pork, substituted half green pepper for half of the red pepper, and used garlic powder instead of onion powder (didn't have any in the pantry. I used Panko bread crumbs like they did on their show. It was soooo good! I agree that it does have a wet or mushy texture, so if you are expecting to slice a piece of meatloaf and have it stay in a slice, forget that. It crumbled to pieces on our plates, but who cares?! It tastes so delicious! I seriously could have eaten the whole 9x5 pan, which by the way, you need to cook for 1.5 hours if you use the loaf pan (recipe didn't state this, but I knew from previous meatloaf recipes. Because of the consistency, I think this would make an excellent meat portion of a BBQ Shepherd's Pie. I highly recommend this recipe for its incredible flavor. We'll be fighting over the leftovers. Thanks, Neelys!

I thought that it was rather easy to make without a lot of mess. The wife and I found the meatloaf very tasty. There did appear to be a lot of sauce, and somewhat sweet, but very good. A lot of the sauce soaked into the meat as I basted it, leaving a small amount around the meat. I might try using a little more bread crumbs to help hold it together better.
