This recipe was very disappointing. Meatloaf was mushy--won't make again. Has anybody made this with ground beef and had better success? Usually enjoy Neely's recipes and the show, so this was disappointing. Sure sounded like it was going to be delicious from all the positive reviews.

I absolutely love this recipe. I actually use the Barbeque sauce recipe for all my meats.

This is a great recipe!--I had to tweak it just a bit, because I am diabetic, so I used splenda and brown sugar splenda instead of the regular granulated sugar, used reduced sugar ketchup, and low sodium soy sauce--I also made my bread crumbs from whole wheat bread. The result was a great tasting meatloaf! My family raved about it-I was surprised how it tasted "beefy" even while using the turkey. I plan to make the sauce again to use with chicken and will definitely make the meatloaf again- a real winner!

Everything the Neeley's cook is delicious. Please put them on Sunday's PRIME TIME and take off the amateur Melissa d"A.

Wow, I was surprised at how good this meatloaf was for Turkey. I think if I'd had my eyes closed I would have thought it was beef. I did find it to be too mushy when I mixed everythign together so I added 1/2 C. more bread crumbs.
I also did it on a sheet pan but did it on Parchment paper so the clean up was a breeze! It didn't want to stay in a regular meatloaf shape and spread out some but it cooked in the time frame given in the recipe. I thought the sauce was going to be too spicy for me but when it was cooked in and on the meatloaf, it was prefect!! I also did what another person suggested, used smaller amounts for the spice mix... 1/4 tsp. onion pwd. 1-1/2 tsp. Paprika 3/4 tsp. sugar.....
    no leftovers.
I will cut it in half next time because it made enough for an Army. we're just two people!! This is my favorite meatloaf now.

I'm generally not a fan of ground turkey, especially as a substitute for ground beef in a classic recipe like meatlaf. But I'm trying to eat less red meat, and figured the bbq sauce and other seasonings in this recipe would mask any unpleasant turkey flavor and "beef" up the recipe. Needless to say, it was delicious! And I had no problems with mushiness--the texture was perfect. I didn't have breadcrumbs on hand so I used one cup of oats instead. I also did not have bell pepper on hand, so I substituted mushrooms. And I only added salt as I was sauteeing the vegetables --there is lots of salt in the liquid seasoning, so it's not necessary anywhere else!

This was an easy recipe and tasted very good. I don't know if it was the turkey I used, or if it was too much bbq sauce...but it took forever to cook as it was very mushy. I prepped the ingredients (cut the veggies, measured out the spices, and got my pans ready so I could wake up and cook it before I went to work for dinner that night. I finally had to take it out of the oven after cooking for nearly 2 1/2 hours. It did eventually firm up, but the mushy-ness is very off putting. I'll definately try this again with some tweaking. Great recipe!

I used all the ingredients to the letter but instead of all the bread crumbs... I used 1 cup of cooked brown rice out of my rice cooker... and WOW!!!! i thought it was amazing... we used to make beef meatloaf with wild rice and I had some brown rice already made... it is nice to put your own twist on an already good recipe.... Thanks Pat and Gina!!!

My family loves this meatloaf. I make it at least once a month. I have discovered that it is even better if I mix it and freeze it for at least a few days before I cook it.I do a lot of cooking on the weekends to prepare for the week and this is one of the recipes that really works great. My oldest son was home for a few months this fall and told me that this recipe was the best thing that I cook. Of course when he moved out of state last week I made sure that I had a small one in the freezer for him to take with him to his new apartment. Thanks for the recipe.

I have never had such a great meatloaf! It didnt dry up like i sort of expected it to. I was so great! Everyone we have cooked this for just loves it, ranging from kids to grandparents.

This has become a permanent recipe in our home. Definitely worth trying if you havent already!
