really tasty, but used scrabbled eggs instead of hard boiled and crumbled sausage instead of cutting up patties. It made the dish look alot nicer

Prepared this dish for my hubby on father's day along with the Neely's peach fritters (which also were a hit and it turned out great. The only thing I did different was added a half cup of heavy cream to the grits for the creamy texture. I was kind of nervous about the boiled eggs and considered scrambling them however I'm glad I stuck to the recipe. The boiled eggs went well with the dish. My husband loved the dish so much he requested it for dinner a few days later...yes, dinner. This is yet another Neely hit!

I love the idea of this recipe however I changed it a little by scrambling my eggs instead of boiling them but did the layering the same. Love your recipes.

Great recipe! I didn't have tomatoes so I substituted onions. It was good but next time I'll use tomatoes to balance the flavors better. Also, layer the ingredients to match the picture and not the instructions (grits on top instead of bottom.

My daughter and I prepared this great and fun breakfast together last Saturday, it's very simple and pretty too, my daughter added some corn beef hash to this dish and we use scrambled eggs instead of hard boiled.

What a great way to eat breakfast, the trifle bowls and the layers of food all looks so nice together and taste great, thx for sharing it recipe!

This is a fun and unique way to serve breakfast! I added a kick by using salsa instead of tomato....

Has anyone tried hasbrowns in stead of grits - I don't care for grits?

This a great idea!! I found the dish a bit dry even with scrambled eggs. What might I add to get more moisture in the trifle?

This recipe is so good, I called my mom to give her the recipe and she loved it too. The variations are endless. I've also used scrambled eggs.
