These were a flop. The flavor was pretty good, but the dough was extremely dry, didn't rise at ALL and got overcooked even though I didn't cook them the full 20 minutes. I agree with other reviewers that the 475 degree temp was too high. Probably should have been about 425. I've made lots of biscuits and have never had any turn out this poorly. I'll go back to my recipe that I know works!

Very good. I only needed 15 minutes (glad I checked on them. Also brush a bit of butter on them when they were done.

Delicious!! This was my first time making homemade biscuits and they came out great. They were fluffy and rose beautifully. I was careful not to overwork the dough because I didn't want them flat. My husband loved them and I am definitely going to make these regularly.

These were really really good.I made 1/2 and it made about 4 so if you make the whole recipe you should get a total of 8 biscuits.I make biscuits a lot and these puffed up like the store brand.Yes you should freeze them 1st,I followed the directions the 1st time around.Definitely will keep this in my recipe box.I used 2 Tblsp. Ranch dressing mixed w/ 1/4 plus 1/8 C.Water, instead of buttermilk.Oven temps range differently so yes maybe the oven temp.should be 450 degrees.Yes they do smell when they're done, that's how I knew mine were done, they weren't burnt and they did rise. For these might want to use self-rising flour, and make sure that the baking powder and soda is still good. Also I didn't add salt to them either.I had it set at 475 degrees and they were done in about 15 minutes.

These were very good. Didn't need the full twenty minutes, but you can smell when they are done.
