I've always wanted to make homemade biscuits and when I saw that this recipe had 5 stars I just had to make them. I followed the instruction to a T and hurt my wrist in the process trying to get the butter and flour to look like coarse sand. I put the biscuits in the oven and thought that 20 minutes at 475 was too much but I trusted the recipe and forced myself not to peak. When I pulled the biscuits out of the oven they were almost black and way too hard to attempt to pull apart. If you decide to use this recipe; trust your instincts. Check your biscuits after 10 minutes... now what am i going to make for dinner.....

It was my second time in life using flour. (1st time, I made the cranberry cornbread cake by Giada. Anyway. the biscuits came out great, but once I put the butter on them I though it came out too salty for my friends and I. I re-made the butter without the salt and then it was a hit!!!! Thanks Neely for making baking so easy. I have always been terrified of flour, not any more.

This was the first time I made biscuits and it was a success! The ice bold butter is very important. I had fun making these and upon eating them I immediately thought the recipe would go great with chunks of cheddar cheese inside the dough. I will try that next time. These were super easy to make!

These were delicious. The butter was especially good but I left out the all spice because it would be too strong for my husband. I would follow how many the recipe says are made; however. I didn't and really the best part is the soft hot middle so I got a bunch of little ones instead. Mine were done in minutes too with them being smaller. The Neely's really have awesome recipes!

I don't understand the rating with trying either? It brings down the rating and takes away some of the credibility of the system...

I did the recipe this morning and it was so easy. The butter was very good. I wonder what I could do to make them even more fluffy. Cake flour maybe...at least one of the cups??? I don't know. Any suggestions?~~~~~W

As soon as I saw the show featuring this recipe, I had to try it. The spiced butter is excellent. And these are the easiest and tastiest biscuits I've made to date. I found, however, that in my oven @ 475 degrees, the biscuits were very well browned in 14-15 minutes so I caution others to monitor closely as they cook.

Aida, it's great that you have nice comments about this show, but what if the recipe is a 5-star one? You've started them off with only 3 stars for the recipe, and some people may see that and not even try it.
