    I made this exactly like the Neelys did. Having never eaten chicken fried steak with gravy before, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly suprised. This was delicious. I also made the mashed potatoes and broccoli. My husband, who had never eaten this before also loved it. This is a filling, inexpensive meal that will stay on my rotation list.

    i cooked this meal for my family today and it really hit home thay loved it so much thay said to make it more often i do agrie with the other comments were the gravy wasent so flaverful just add more salt ! that's all i also made it with the neely's fried green beans ther ausome a good way for your children to eat ther veggies!

    I substituted Poultry Seasoning for the cayenne, and drop a small amount of corriander into the dry ingredient mix. Added some nice flavor.

    Not impressed at all. Very BLAH! No flavor! I read the reviews before making this and saw that people had said it need more flavor...I I double the paprika and cayenne pepper and still just BLAH. Needs more spices. Needs more flavor....needs more something! Looks good, sounds good, but beware,,not good!

    I followed their directions perfectly and was terribly disapointed. You need more flavor in the batter and gravy. If you like chicken fried steak but dont know how to make it, this recipe will teach you. But this will not show you how to make it taste great. This was a huge waste of my time and money!

    I LOVE Chicken Fried Steak and when I saw this I decided I would make it for dinner this week. The only change I made was that I seasoned the eggs and the flour. The gravy was excellent. I am not sure what happened with the people that did not have success with this recipe. It went fine for me and I left it in the car...but I did go get it for the gravy instructions. Another excellent meal from the Neely's

    I saw this recipe on your show and decided to try it out at my husbands work......he is a fireman! They all loved it. Great recipe and will definitly cook this again.

    Can't really rate.

    I dont know what I did wrong. I am going to have to catch this episode again & save it on my DVR, so when I cook this again, mine can turn out like the Neely's b/c this time, it didnt.

    I made this recipe with pork chops instead of the cube steak and it came out great. My family loved it. It was nicely fried, juicy and flavorful.The gravy was the icing on the cake! I also made it with the broccoli mashed potatoes and I must say this was the best meal i've ever made.
