  • 1 (21-ounce) box brownie mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 10 chocolate-caramel covered wafers
  • Ganache, for brownie topping, recipe follows
  • Whipped topping, recipe follows
  • Fresh raspberries
  • Chocolate shavings

Directions

Preheat oven at 350 degrees F.

Prepare brownies as directed on the box for "cake-like" brownies but add additional 3 eggs. Spread half the batter into an 8 by 8-inch prepared pan, top evenly with the pecans and chocolate caramel covered wafers.. Cover with remainder of batter. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until the brownies are almost cooked through. Remove brownies from oven. Cool completely. Remove brownies from pan keeping square intact. Place on a baking sheet.

Top with ganache, whipped topping, raspberries, and chocolate shavings.

Mix together syrup and chocolate. Pour warm cream over syrup and chocolate. Stir until melted.

Wonderful!!! but here are some tips....

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This is a great recipe, the twix are absolutely essential and take the brownie to a whole different level. The chocolate and... caramel of the twix melt into the brownie creating a wonderful flavor, and the cookie part stays perfectly in tact and adds a wonderful crunch to the brownie. It's the crunch that makes this a truly amazing dessert. Ok so here are a couple tips I have learned from making this dessert a few times....1. make the ganache first. (finally I've found a ganache recipe!) They make a passing reference in the video of letting the ganache sit for an hour, I found that after an hour it was still pretty runny. It should be completely set and creamy, (like a half liquid, half solid chocolate frosting). I tried putting the ganache in the fridge while the brownie was baking and it came out wonderful, perfectly set. 2. I didn't have an 8x8 pan and used a 9x9 instead, if you do this you will need more twix. The first time I made this everyone said it definitely needed more of that twix cookie crunch. 3. The written recipe is somewhat confusing about the eggs, in the video they use 3. DON'T use any more then 3 eggs, it will not turn out right. 4. Line the pan with foil and leave enough foil to hang over the edge of the pan like they do in the video, it saves a lot of time in clean up and makes it so easy to flip the brownie over like they tell you to. Also, as a side note, you may want to put whatever is left over of the brownie in the fridge. I had mine sitting out for a few days like I do with all brownies but after the third day we all started to have upset stomachs after eating a piece, maybe the cream in the ganache?? Covering it in the fridge definitely wouldn't hurt!! This is one of our favorites!! :) Enjoy!! Read more

I will use less eggs next time...

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
Really good! Except, the recipe reads, "make for cake like brownies & add 3 eggs", according to my box, this meant 6 eggs! ... The brownies came out a tad too fluffy. I'll use only 3 eggs next time.Read more

    DEE-licious -- a HIT !

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
Excellent-- took to party and everyone raved. Next time tho, I plan on chopping up the Twix rather than just placing solid... bars in (one person thought he found a rib in the brownie - LOL). And -- when I watched the show for this recipe, Gina lined her brownie pan with foil so that it would lift out easily -- works so well and wish I would have known this trick years ago -- Thanks and LOVE the show !Read more

Good Concept, Easy to adapt to ones likes...

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
I made this using snickers and walnuts, it was heavenly. I didn't make the ganache or the whipped topping, but I did serve... with ice cream. Next time I will only use 2 eggs instead of 3. People use these recipes as a guideline, don't be scared to try what u like!!!! I love twix, but I didn't think that I would like the texture of the wafer sitting in the middle of the brownie, so I used snickers and it was really good. I used 6 mini bars of snickers.Read more

    Don't bother with the Twix!

Rated: 3 stars out of 5
The ganache is great. The pecans added a nice crunch to the brownies. But I did not get the Twix. The carmel and chocolate... melts away and the cookie is still there. I didn't get why there was a Twix cookie in the middle of the brownie. My family thought it would be better without the Twix (and a lot cheaper too).Read more

    Just ....O.K.

Rated: 3 stars out of 5
I tried this recipe because I love Brownies and I love Twix.....but my family did not like this recipe. I am not sure if... it was the "cake like" brownie mix (I normally do fudgy), but the show and the web picture looked better than what it tasted. Read more
