I'm not an expert cook h*&I just try to do my best so I came here for a great recipe for my Thanksgiving dinner. The hens came out moist and cripy. The aroma throughout my apartment is probably inviting. would I recommend this recipe without a doubt YES! Try it you will absolutely love it.

This recipe was perfect for Christmas dinner. It was easy, the flavors blended well and it offered a great presentation. The citrus flavor with the spicy run was perfect. It was healthy too!

I've made this recipe one year for thanksgiving and it was awesome. I have never tried using cinnamon on poultry before and oranges but it was great. This time im using this for my new yearss turkey. wish me luck

This is a family favorite. Everyone, including kids, my husband and in laws ask for it. I love it because it's simple and I can just throw everything in the oven and walk away. The whole house smells great. While I've used cornish hens with the recipe before, I generally use regular chicken parts so as not to struggle with little bones. Have cut down the salt to 1 1/2 tablespoons over time. Loved the combo of cinnamon, sugar and chili powder; it's not spicy in the least. The chicken comes out perfectly juicy and golden brown. All 3 of my young kids love it. In fact, two pre-teen guests of our recently went back for 4ths!

There are better cornish game hen recipes from the Food Network. The hens cook nicely and remain moist (but they usually do the rub is a real disappointment. I can't place my finger on it...our family felt like I simply rubbed cinnamon on the hens...the rub and/or entire recipe needs something more to make this a "Christmas special" item.

Absolutely wonderful! My family loved it and I have a group of very picky eaters. The hens added a special touch making it even more appealing to the kids. Great flavor, easy to cook, and makes a beautiful presentation on the plate. Yum! You have to try it!

Excellent Christmas dinner! The hens were super moist and tasty and the veggies were great. I roasted them in separate pans since I don't have a roasting rack and didn't want the veggies to get soaked in the juices. I also added a little bit of olive oil, and fresh thyme leaves to the veggies. Superb! Can't wait to make this again.

This was a nice easy recipe and the rub is something different.

This was an awesome rub, in my opinion it’s not salty at all. I used regular table salt. We only made two hens with half of the original rub recipe. Next time I might make more rub mix to season the inside better. If you have a rack or roaster pan to cook the birds on (we don’t it will help the skins crisps. The vegies ended up salty from the birds juice but, the birds them self’s were not. Again the problem would be avoided with a roaster pan, or roasting the vegies separately

It was a little salty, but otherwise good.
