    This was the worst recipe for homemade stuffing. way too salty,and it took away from the tradional homestyle stuffing. I will go back to the old way.....my mother's way!

    This recipe is a keeper!!! I had always used a boxed stuffing before trying out this recipe. Makeing homemade stuffing always seemed to difficult to attempt, until I saw this recipe on the show. It's the 3rd year that this stuffing will be served at my Thanksgiving and it will be the stuffing served at many more to come!!!!

    Made it for Christmas Eve dinner. It was a huge disappointment. I'm an experienced cook, and followed the recipe to the letter. It was bland, very heavy tasting, no particular notes on the palate.

    I love The Neeleys! I tried this recipe for Thanksgiving for the first time. It was a great success so I followed it again for Christmas and it met with approval from all! Although the recipe doesn't specify, I used the hot Italian sausage and if your family likes it "kicked up a notch" I definitely suggest going with hot!

    iam not great at making new recipes, most of the time it does not come out right, but this recipe was very easy to make for me a mom of 3. it turned out great.I did add a little more chicken stock and left out the bourbon. i loved it and will make this stuffing from know on.

    Delicious, Perfect. I've always made a stuffing similar to this, with bread stuffing and breakfast sausage but no pecans or bourbon. I wanted to change it up and I am so glad I did. I also never used a recipe for my stuffing, so it was very inconsistent. This was balanced perfectly, loved the pecans. I did not find it dry at all. Thanks Neely's!

    Can I just say "YUMMY!" and Oh so easy to make! Used spicy italian sausage and I liked the contrast of the tarty sweet apples with the sausage. I'll admit I didn't add bourbon but it still came out really well. Might be a bit dry for some, but my family prefers a drier stuffing. If it's too dry for your taste then here's a quick remedy: add more broth silly! ;

    Next year I'll make sure to try it with the bourbon :
