This is an awesome recipe. I want to make it every weekend. My family loves it. The taste is superb and it is so simple to prepare. I've emailed this recipe to all my friends and told them to set their DVRs for "Down Home with the Neelys"

I saw this on the show and had to make it that day. YUMMY! I love Collard Greens any ole way but this was so good and different! This went in my recipe file and it will remain a favorite. I am so happy this show is on. One of my favorites and I can't leave my home Saturday morning unti I have seen this show. Love this couple! What a delight to have a fun family show the whole family can watch. The love they share is so heartwarming! Keep those wonderful down home recipes coming! I have added all your recipes to my file and I have been in cooking heaven since you started this show!!!!

Here's a surprise... an actual review of a Neelys' recipe. These are the best collards I've ever had and I've been making only my home-grown collards for years. I made these with store bought (since they're not growing in my garden in NY in March and they were delicious! A stroke of genius to make them like creamed spinach. Thanks Gina!

My husband and I are big fans of green vegetables, and we love this new way of cooking collards. It's so different and yummy! A good way to get in your recommended servings of veggies!

These are REALLY good. I've never been an eater of greens, but this recipe made me a believer!!
Don't think it'll be like regular greens, though. It's more like the warm spinach dip you get at restaurants... in other words, YUM!
This is definitely a recipe to take to church pot lucks and such.
I'm going to try it with frozen collards, too, cuz although it's easy, it is kinda time consuming.
Great recipe!

I was kinda scare to make this and it came out too creamy but my family enjoyed this. The garlic and shallots were a perfect blend to the greens. Alot of chopping but worth it.

I tried these and found that the greens didn't have much taste. I loved the cream, but next time I will season the greens like I normally would before adding to the cream mixture. My fiance didn't care for them too much, but I didn't. I will definitely make them again with some of my own modifications. Gina and Pat, keep your creativity caps on and keep those recipes coming! Don't let those negative comments get to you. Keep your head up. If those miserable jerks have a problem with you, then they shouldn't watch your show. It's as simple as that. Ihe Foodnetwork needs a show that represents the Black community. I think that you're great, the show is great and I am proud of you. I wish you much success!

This is the second recipe of the Neely's that I have tried. Both recipes were easy to follow and turned out great. Their dishes are simple but different and they have so much fun making them and make them sound so good I just have to try them for myself. I will make creamed collard's often. Keep the great dishes coming Pat and Gina.
