It was more work than it was worth. The sauce was too sweet but my boyfirend did like it. He went back for seconds.

This recipe is EXCELLENT!! The rice mixture alone is tasty! My family loved them and the leftovers were even better. I will most DEFINITELY be making these again!

This was my first time making home made dirty rice (I've always used a box mix and all I can say is WOW!!! The flavors in the rice mixture just explode in your mouth along with the collards and sauce. I made so much of the dirty rice that my daughter chased me around the kitchen to eat it straight from the pan.

I made this last night as a side to baked chicken. The only changes I made was that I used saffron rice and just a regular can of tomato sauce. The dirty rice alone is great! But when put together with the collard green and a hint of tomato sauce, EXCELLENT! This will now be a future side in our household. Thanks for the great recipe!!

I actually substituted chicken because I didn't have pork on hand. I diced the chicken into very small pieces. I probably should've seasoned lightly before browning but they were still tasty. I also added some additional poultry seasoning. However, I would be cautious of how much cayenne you add if you do not like spicy foods - the 1/4 tsp definitely added a kick to this recipe!

I happened to catch this episode a few Saturdays ago and had to try this recipe. I substituted chicken sausage for pork sausage. My husband eldest son and I really enjoyed the meal. I will make this again
