I was so delighted to see that someone on the Food Network recognized Sazon as a seasoning, just like the various herb mixtures that other recipes call for. I have been using it for years, and people rave about my rice. Your recipe was very good, Gina, really enjoyed it. It's a versatile recipe that people can really make their own. This seasoning also works well in soups, stews, casseroles, and other dishes. It's great stuff.

I'm surprised to see this recipe on Food Network. Sazon Goya's main ingredient is MSG. I think we should have higher... standards for the food we prepare at home and feed our families.

MMM a decir verdad no es la receta original, de como se hace un arroz mexicano,el original no lleva pimienta.
El jitomate es cocido y molido y y el arroz es frito a llegar a un color doradito.

This was the best Mexican Rice I have ever tried. I have been trying to find a rice that I like and I even got a recipe from my Mexican sister -in -law and Gina's was way better! This was so simple and so good! I will make this over and over again. Thanks Gina

I enjoy eating & cooking quite a bit of mexican dishes. But when it got to cooking mexican rice, I could not get it quite right. I decided to give Gina's rice a try and it is out of this world! My family loves it and they have never enjoyed any other mexican rice but Gina's. I will definetely cook this on a regular basis. Gina has outdone herself on this. Thanks, Gina.

I substituted the sazon seasoning with a taco seasoning packet and it was very delicious. Will definitely make this side dish again.

I prepared the recipe as written but garnished with cilantro. I found sazon at our local Walmart. In addition to flavor it adds a wonderful color.

I made this rice for dinner because I needed a quick side dish.It was fantastic!!!!! I used 2 pack of the sazon and I added I table spoon of cumin( I love the smoky flavor it addsit turned out great....Thanks Neeleys.
