Definitely an easy and delicious sweet potato side dish. I sliced them crosswise rather than lengthwise since I was concerned they would fall apart as I tend to over-bake them. I also sprinkled the dish with salt and pepper which gave it a more savory rather than sweet flavor which we prefer in a side dish. It is so easy to assemble this dish that it is now my go-to recipe for sweet potatoes.

Absolutely delicious! Third year we're making this recipe over our family favorite candied yams.

I made this recipe for our easter dinner (25 people. It was a hit. Different from our normal sweet potatoe recipes which we all were getting tired of. Everyone should try this recipe.

Only change was cutting the sweet potatoes crosswise as I had some funky shaped potatoes in my Organic Box. Otherwise, made perfectly as directed and sooooo good

Super tasty! Wish I could upload my iPhone photo of this ridiculously delicious and easy dish of yams! I made it in one dish from start to finish. Pyrex dish on low heat on the cooktop to melt the sweet & buttery goodness then I used my tongs to incorporate the cut yams into the liquid before their oven time. Covered with foil for 45 minutes and víola!

I made this recipe as directed except, during the last 15 minutes of baking, I added about 2/3 cup chopped toasted sugared pecans and some Honey Special K cereal to make a crunchy sweet topping. My husband absolutely raved about how delicious it was when combined with grilled pork tenderloin and a raspberry, pecan, feta cheese and spinach/mixed green salad with raspberry vinagrette dressing. The melding of all those flavors was superb - Thanks so much - this will be a favorite!!
