Everyone has different recipes for potato salad, but this is the one I was looking for. My mom's potato salad always included eggs. Yummy!

This recipe was just so delicious. The sweet relish and mustard really gave it a nice taste. I used regular mayo for the salad dressing and russet potatoes and it was perfect.

Being on the the fringe of the the south "Kentucky" I thought this was a great adaptation of my mothers potato salad. The moment I saw Miracle Whip I knew this was the real deal. The addition of sugar was a no brainer for me because that is what mom always did. Just try it it you'll like it. Just remember potato salad is the co star with barbecue not the main attraction.

I think it was way too much celery and not enough flavor. I 've tried several of the Neely's recipes, but this one was not for me.

Thought it was interesting that it was named the same as my grandmother, also found it to be a solid homestyle recipies especially since it is ingredient wise the same as my grandmother's potato salad recipie. Must have been an adaptation that many grannies had around the country. I learned my grandmas at her side never written down till about 10 ears ago when I shared it online with a friend.
Only difference I can see is that grandma used whatever potatoes she had and sometimes she added green pepper but down to the egg, miracle whip and paprika directions this was it.

Wonder if they have a molasses cookie recipie like hers too?

I am making this again for the third time now. I never thought that putting mustard and relish in potato salad would taste so good! Everyone who has tasted it wants the recipe. Grandma Jean, you da m'aam!!

I think that this is a great potato salad recipe. I used Miracle Whip and Sour Cream it was a great combination.

I made this for our camping trip. I had watched an episode where this was demonstrated and decided to try it. I hate boring potato salad. This was so easy and so good. I love the Neely's recipes. My kids do too!

I had given up making potato salad years ago because mine never turned out right. I tried this receipe to the letter (except I only used 1 tbsp of mustard instead of 3 because I'm not a big fan of mustard and it turned out fantastic! Thank you Mama Jean for bring back potato salad to my family's backyard picnics!
