Served this recipe to July 4th group & it did not go over well. Too much mustard & too sweet. I think the mustard could be cut in half & leave out either the sugar or use dill relish instead because the Miracle Whip is sweet & tangy anyway.

This was my first time making potato salad in about 15 yrs. The first time I made it, everyone thought I made egg salad, so when I made it this time I followed the recipe exactly. It came out Perfect!! My husband loves potato salad, so I was nervous when he was taking his first fork full. I was so happy when he told me that I had to fix it again. Thanks so much!!

Made this for the fourth of July and it was the best! First time I made potato salad and was nervous but was simple and everyone loved it.

Everything that went into it reminded me of the stuff I use for deviled eggs OR the stuff I use for tuna salad. The timeline is a little misleading as well...took me about 20 minutes just to peel and cube the potatos, then chop the celery and onion...maybe its just me-no big deal. HOWEVER...I thought it was good potato salad too. A little too much mustard for me, but still good. I absolutely LOVE the Neelys-keep up the good work!!!

I used this recipe to make potato salad for the first time to take to a friend's for th 4th of July. The hardest part was peeling and cutting the potatoes. It was really tasty and I would definitely make it again!

I don't even have to make this recipe to know that it is great. I have been eating this potato salad all of my life (with the exception of dill instead of sweet pickles. Great southern recipe.

I tried the recipe as documented, but it just didn't do it for me. My current potato salad recipe is better, but I am still a fan of the Neely's. It was okay, but it did not wow me....sorry guys

This is the potato sald recipe that I have looked for, for years. It is simply the best. The only addition I made was to add fresh parsley.
    Thanks Grandama Jean.

I wish I had a camera when my husband took the first bite of Grandma Jean's Potato Salad. For years I have tried to figure out how in the world his mom made potato salad, but could never quite get it right. Not only did he feel it was as good as his mom's, he thought it was better. We had a wonderful evening remembering his mom over that first of what is becoming many bowls of the Grandma Jean's potato salad. Thanks for sharing.
