This receipe is fast and easy and best of all taste wonderful. I found however, that the pork chops took longer than a 30 minute simmer in order for them to be tender enough for a spoon. Give it a try, you can't go wrong with fresh vegetables.

Very flavorful, great on a cold evening. Extra delicious with a big ol' slab of cornbread!

I have not cooked on a saturday for over 25 year's,this soup stayed on my mind - I just had to make this soup. My goodness not only was it easy to make it is so good that I can't wait to make it again later this week for my daughter & grandchildren, and since I like to share a recipe when it is not only real good but easy I have told everyone that I spoke to about it. This one is a real keeper.

After I watched the show, I couldn't wait to make this soup - and I wasn't disappointed. I would recommend while making this soup to taste it constantly. If not, it has the potential of being bland. I used petite diced tomatoes and after adding, I added a tbl spoon of seasoning salt, tbl spoon of beef bouilon, and some more pepper. For the chops, I used the thinner sliced boneless breakfast chops which came in a pack of eight. I fried them for three minutes each side. I also bought a bag of frozes corn and peas and used about a cup each. Also, I used a can of cut green beans (drained rather than fresh to cut down on the cooking time. My husband loved it! This will defintely be a staple in our home. Thank you Gina and Pat. (Your brownies are next!

I have not tried the recipe yet, but am thinking about cooking it for supper tonight. I have two boys' and a husband that is 6'4" and would like something to fill them up. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with Gina's attitude. I didn't see her as being bossy. She just seemed like a woman enjoying herself and her man in the kitchen. What's wrong with that? I agree with the others. If you feel that she's bossy and overbearing, I hope that you have more shows on your tv than Meet The Neely's. GO ON, GINA , WORK YO' KITCHEN AND YO' MAN!!! I ain't mad at you at all! I wish I had the same in my kitchen at home!

My wife and I just went crazy over this. Thanks to other reviews, I remembered to added tomato paste like Gina did. Also, while we're at it, the Neely's are such a funny and sweet couple and I just love their relationship...that banter in the kitchen keeps it "spicy" and I want to say thank you to Food Network for adding something real to their show line-up.

I really loved this recipe. The prep took a little more time than I would have expected, but in my opinion the dish was well worth the effort.

I loved this recipe as did my 10 year old. I did make a few changes. Instead of pork chops I used chicken thighs and legs (sauteed in olive oil. I didn't have diced tomatoes so I used crushed. I let it simmer for a couple of hours and it was great. I love that everything they used you normally have in your pantry anyway. Keep up the good work Pat and Gina.
