Im just beginning to try differnt dishes and this was fun to make and delicious. I love the show because its a couple cook show and Gina and Pat show a lot of love on the show. I think it's a fun great show and dont mind the display of affection. I watch the shows every week to learn different cooking techniques. I will also try putting a twist to it with my roots being from the deep south. Love it !

But I don't like their show. Gina always appears to hen peck her husband. It's obvious she wears the pants in the family. she is very bossy.

I made this last night for my family but used frozen corn, white acre peas and green lima beans, one can of tomato sauce and a can of tomato soup. I added the potatoes but was out of carrots :( Will add them next time. I prefer diced tomatoes but my kids are picky and won't eat them if they can see them. I browned my boneless chops in a skillet instead of deep fryer to maybe cut some of the fat. I cut the chops in half so there would be more chunks of meat in the soup. This was delicious! My picky husband and boys ate it up. Made a pan of cornbread to go with it. I'm from the south and I love to watch The Neelys and Paula Deen because they make the kind of food I was raised on.

This recipe is a great start for vegetable soup. This is the 3rd time I have made the soup and have made several modifications, like adding 1 more can of Italian tomatoes, 3 cans beef broth vs vegetable broth, 1- 14..5 oz cannellini beans, 2 potatoes, 1/2 bag mixed vegetables, and small bag of carrots all saute, in addition I add 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning.
I think Gina act's more like someone who is trying out to work in a strip club than being a mother and Great TV host like her husband PAT, hope you grow up some day, most people see enough of those actions on the street and don't want to see your crap movements.

This is an incredible recipe! I have made this so often that I now make double batches and freeze half! For those that feel it lacks flavor I add my own spices and herbs to our taste. Garlic, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning and parm cheese to top it off! It really is best with fried pork chops but I generally do broiled chops to make it a little more healthy! Thanks for such a crowd pleasing meal!

I looked at the ingredients and realized it was exactly what my mother would put in soup so I new it would be good. I had no idea just how good until I made it! Way-to-go Neelys! And keep the love going, its nice to see us in a positive light!

I love this recipe!! And adding the cheddar and broccoli cornbread to it, made pure delight. I would definitely call this one"Fried Pork Chop Stew" instead.

I have only watched this show a couple of times. I find them to be annoying and frankly lacking in sincerity . I found this recipe while surfing the internet and despite the fact I don't like their show, I tried it. I substituted a homemade turkey broth soup for the canned vegetable broth, used thin pork chops instead of thick cut, pan fried in canola oil and added some hot sauce. This dish came out even better than I hoped. It is a great one dish comfort meal. I did have to add more of my homemade turkey broth soup to dilute the gravy ( soup part as it became too thick for me. I am making it again tonight!

I don't know what was missing, but this soup was just plain bland. I was looking for southern flavors, but didn't taste any. I will say that this recipe makes a big pot full of soup and there's no shortage of vegetables.

(I also think it's strange that so many people commented on this recipe and admitted they hadn't tried it. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of a review?
