Can you say crunchy and delicious?!! Very easy to make recipe with exceptional flavors. I followed the recipe to the 't,' and the result was 5 stars. Thanks Neelys! By the way, I love your show and how you both play off each other effortlessly. Keep the flavors coming!

These are amazing. So simple, fresh and yummy! If you don't care for heat, go a little easy on the red pepper flakes. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing! Thanks to the Neelys!

Often made with our family dinner. We all love it. I may add a little extra garlic, 'cause we're garlic lovers here. Kids also like to help make it.

Kid Approved! This was so easy and so yummy! I tend to cook my greens a little more than recipes call for because of my kids. My 15 month old has to have stuff more tender. He devoured them as well. As for my 6 1/2 year old - she was taking mine off of my plate! Then there was my 4 1/2 year old who needs lots of coaxing to eat anything green, she ate them right up after the first bite - and liked them too. I left out the red pepper flakes and black pepper due to my kids but even my husband loved them without the heat. I used organic green beans and zested one smallish whole lemon (instead of measuring the zest. Next time I'll try them using Earth Balance (vegan buttery spread instead of the butter but this will definitely be a staple recipe in our home.

Although this dish was flavorful and easy to prepare, I couldn't help thinking how well the seasonings would go with shrimp. Don't think I would do this again with green beans, but liked the combination of flavors.

This was Wonderful. I made this Last year for Thanksgiving Lunch at work. (Hospital setting. We cook when we work on the Holidays. I prepared the entire dish the night before. But reserved the salt, pepper and lemon zest. When ready to serve-the next day- We warmed the beans coated in the oil/garlic and pepper combination. Then added the Lemon Zest, salt and pepper. It was a hit! This dish is a nice refreshing balance to the Meat and Sweets of Thanksgiving meals. I have made it several times. There is a definate lemon flavor from the Zest- you could cut this by 1/3 and still have a nice dish. I am prepping to make this again for Work Thanksgiving.
