The barbeque butter makes it! But this is a great way to cook asparagus.

-who is obviously a debbie downer.
This is a community of people who enjoy rating recipes, we come here to share our Good thoughts and ideas about them. Its one thing to rate a recipe low because maybe it wasnt of your preference, but it is entirely uncalled for to rate on the basis of your own personal decision as to wether or not this is even a recipe and secondly to comment on the cooking skills of chefs that you will never even be able to touch. IT IS A RECIPE, thats why its on food network.com and it is a delicious recipe at that! as for you hating on the neelys, keep it to yourself, people are here to share good things about food, not talk badly about the people who produce them. If your not pleased with the recipe, so be it, but as im sure even your mom would say, If you have nothing nice to say, dont say it at all, because most of us here are food lovers and lovers of the characters on food network and we'd rather not here itat all.

Loved it! Really gives a different flavor to asparagus. Even my husband had 2 spheres - which is a lot for him!! He hates asparagus!

I tried this recipe for my family and my daughters
helped prepared the meal. Both of my girls and monitored the grill and I supervised them.
My family LOVED the bacon and the aspargus. It did not burn. We will definitely cook this meal again. We did not use the butter sauce, it and iwas delicious!
Hats off to Pat and Gina; I love your show!!!!!

I LOVE asparagus and this seemed too sweet to me- the bbq butter overpowered the lovely asparagus flavor. But for those who aren't wild about asparagus this might be a good way to learn to love it!

My husband grew up in the sandhills and picked asparagus wild. It was a family fav. He loves this twist on his beloved vegie!
Way to go once again, Neely's! You are a darling couple and I am devoted to your cooking and your show! Keep it coming!

I agree with Gail! Anonymous is a stick in the mud! We thought this was a great new way to do our favorite veggie! I roasted them in the oven only because it is only 10 degrees today and I was not firing up the grill today! If anonymous is so critical may they should not watch the Neelys. It is one thing to rate the recipe but another to "mock"! Maybe if more couples cooked, kissed, and touched more together we would all be happier! I love watching them together and our kitchen is a heated environment as well and all the heat does not only come from the stove! Enjoy!

My little girl is very picky and it's hard to get her to eat vegetables. I tried this recipe and was surprised when my daughter not only liked it but asked for more.

We often grill fresh vegies, and the BBQ butter really adds a kick to this asparagus. You won't be disappointed.
I'm hoping anonymous people who are leaving low ratings because they don't like the show won't spoil the overall ratings for the Neely's delicious food. They are a cute couple and I have a feeling Mr. Neely likes it when Mrs. Neely is a bit sassy...lol!
