Ok, This is the best recipie for pound cake. I am absolutely a southern girl who enjoys lots of flavor in all foods, so I added a bit more of each extract. I also neglected to alternate the flour and the sour cream as I mixed the batter, but it still came out just great. I am going to do an icing recipie with this one, as I am a little nervous about the raspberry seeds if I make the one Gina has a recipie for. I am not a fan of raspberrys. Thanks Gina for this terrific recipie! Great job!!!

My T.V. in my living room is always on FOOD NETWORK. I made this pound cake today... i was so excited...my hubby works off-shore so i try new things while he is out and if it comes out i make it for him. When i was mixing the sugar and butter it didnt look as creamy as the Neelys but i mixed it like i was suppost to. I did add a 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract. My son and I didnt smell nothing at first and then BAM all of a sudden i smelled the buttered pound cake. We let it sit for 20 min and couldnt take it no more we cut into it and the outside was so crunchy and the inside so moist !!!!!!!!!!!!! THE BEST POUND CAKE EVER.

First off let me start by saying i have tried several pound cake recipes from different websites including this one and all of them were tasteless and dry.

This cake however is Moist, full of flavor and will be my forever pound cake recipe. My cake was done in a litte under an hour and 15 min, and i used the same size pan as the recipe called for.

Thanks so much Pat & Gina!!!

This was an excellent dessert for my family and I. I made the topping, but I substitued the rasberries with STRAWBERRIES. I also made a lemon glaze and drizzled it down my cake. I will definately make this cake again, thank you so much!

Looks like the 3rd stick is used to grill the slices of cake later in the recipe.

How come on the show Gina creams all 3 sticks of butter with the sugar but in the recipe here it says to use only 2 sticks?? So which is it??
