This dessert was fantastic. The cake stands alone, becuase it is has a creamy texture and nice lemon flavor. I didn't grill my cake. I toasted it on the stovetop. My friends and family all loved it.

This was awesome. Best poundcake I've ever had. Followed directions to a "t"(almost, but I did use raspberry preserves, which I had on hand. I also strained the syrup to eliminate the seeds, which took some time, but was well worth it. The cake had just the slightest hint of lemon, and was great grilled, toasted in the toaster, and plain. Next time I think I'll try using almond extract instead of the lemon- doesn't that sound divine? The raspberry syrup was great on vanilla ice cream, even without the cake! Great summer dessert! Love the Neely's recipes! Haven't tried one that was less than 5-stars yet!

This recipe was fine. The last show with bbq salmon isn't listed on the website. I think the Neely's are great but I find it disgusting that Gina tasted the lobster salad with a spoon and then stuck it back in to serve it in the martini dishes. Shouldn't food network chefs know they should use different utensils to taste and serve???? Nothing like food contamination and germs!

Best pound cake I've ever had. Now my husband wants me to make it all the time. It tastes like a sour cream donut.

Not only is this recipe delicious, so are they!! Their recipes are down-to-earth and normal unlike most of the Foodnetwork shows. Don't change

I've made this cake twice, my family loves this! I've made many pound cakes but this is the only one that my family enjoys and eats!
