This was so easy. The flavor with the hint of heat was just right served it for Palm Sunday dinner and everyone loved it. I doubled the sounds since I used a larger ham. I also removed the rind from most of the ham. Followed the 20 mn per pound rule at 325 and used a thermometer to about 152 interior temp. It was most as could be.

The ham I bought was already glazed and cooked.I added this glaze and it made the ham simply wonderful, so much more flavor. I will use it on every ham I cook.

People who think this isn't hot enough, should be able to judge by the amount of pepper in the recipe, that it won't be super spicy/hot. Also, since the glaze is mainly on the outer parts of the ham, and doesn't really permeate through, you may get random bites of pieces with the glaze. I may try puncturing the skin to see if this helps at all.

I've made this many times, and I have adjusted thing to my liking. Surely you could add Thai chilis or other kinds and up the amount to really have a kick.

The only downside to this recipe is I think you need to double it for any size ham. Considering the amount that slides off and in case you can to deglaze halfway through, you would really want to double it.

Also, I've used with cooked and uncooked hams. I think my 8-10 lb hams take around 2.5-3 hours.

My daughter made this ham last year for thanksgiving dinner, and it was a big hit with our family. I went back for seconds and there was nothing left. And, she was just learning how to cook, she said it was very easy. I had to have this recpie and make it for myself this year. Thank you Gina and Pat...

This was a very simple dish to prepare, but I wish the sweetness and spice would have permeated the ham a little more. The ham was moist, but missing the glaze flavor. I will make this again though.

Today, I made this ham for Easter and it was the BEST ham we have ever had. Even my daughter, who isn't particularly fond of ham, just loved it. We found it very flavorful and the glaze was perfect .... sweet with just the right amount of heat.

Doubled for 9lb pre-cooked ham and reduced time by 30 minutes as others suggested. Put ham on a bed of pineapple in the oven. Great taste! I can't wait to use leftovers and bone in a soup.

Loved it! I had a 9 lb ham so I doubled the glaze amount. The sweet hot taste was wonderful. We had this one and a commercial Honey Baked Ham and this was one preferred (believe it or not over the commercial HBH! Everyone loved the surprising "hot" taste after the initial "sweet" taste. I love the Neely's. Their recipes have never let me down and their recipe has won out for the holiday once again.
