I cook this every holiday season as well as throughout the year for Sunday supper. My family Loves it! The glaze is SO delicious. It has the perfect balance of sweet and spicy which we LOVE. Thank you Pat and Gina for such a simple and yummy recipe. The only thing I think is important to remember is that Pat and Gina did not use a pre-cooked ham, so the cooking time is shorter if you are using one that is. ENJOY!

My friends and family are in LOVE with this glaze! When I tell them what's in the glaze, they are shocked how much chili pepper flakes I use (I put a little more than called...I like it spicy!. A tried and true repeat at my house. No ham is allowed to be cooked unless it has the Neelys glaze on it! Kudos for a great recipe!!

I made this ham a couple of years ago. It was soo good that it made you wanna slap yo' mama...so my nephew went over and did it. : The ham comes out moist, the glaze is perfect, and the sweet/salty/spice is a great combination. It has been my go-to-recipe ever since. THANKS PAT AND GINA!!

It tasted amazing! We made this for Easter and everyone loved it! We were kinda worried it would be spicy but it wasn't at all, it was delicious! We used a 9lb pre cooked ham heated it up at 325 for about 30 and then took it out and glazed it put it back in for 20, glazed it again, for another 30, we added a little lemon to the glaze as well. It tasted just as good as a honey baked ham, everyone was asking for the ingredients. Would definitely make this again and tell my family/friends about it! Thank you Neely's!!

The ham was very tasty and moist. I couldn't find my rack, but baked it with one can of Cherry Pepsi, brushed once with the glaze and put it in the oven at 350. Brushed just once more with the glaze for the final 30 minutes,. The sweetness balanced well with the peppers and there was just a hint of hotness but not too noticeable. Everyone loved it. And would definitely cook it again.

I made this ham for New Year's Eve. It was the best ham ever. I purchased a cheap 6 lbs. pre-cooked ham. The only difference was I cooked it on 325 for 90 minutes (15 minutes per pound. I also glazed the entire ham for the first hour and added another layer for the last 30 minutes. Some of the postings stated that 2 1/2 hours was too long. Please remember that the Neelys's ham was not pre-cooked. I will never purchase an expensive honey baked ham again.

OMG! I cooked a ham, on Christmas Eve, using this very glaze. I could barely contain myself from eating all of the ham before guests arrived the next day. I begrudgingly served it, keeping the best pieces for myself, claiming that the ham was actually smaller than it was. I am at work now, preparing another one, since there was none left for a New Years dinner. I am using the bone to make black-eyed peas, which I am thinking will be the bes-ever, all because of the glaze on the ham. Thanks so much for an amazing recipe!!

This was delicious! I used a regular 7lb shank portion ham (not spiral sliced and cooked in the oven with the cut side down for almost an hour and half. When I first tried to make the glaze, I cooked it too long and it burned. So I made it again and I put it on a lower heat, medium low, and only warmed it up for a minute or so. Then, I forgot to score the ham and put the foil down in the pan (which is a must!. So I did that and then put the first half of the glaze on. After 30 mins, I turned the ham so the cut side was exposed and put the rest of the glaze on. Since I had already cooked it 30 mins extra the first go around, I only cooked it for 30 more mins. The glaze was nice, not hard, and it really got into the meat. This recipe was simple and with a $10 ham, very affordable. This will be my go-to recipe for YEARS to come! Sorry Honeybaked Hams, no more business from me!
