I was skeptical about the taste when I read the ingredients, my daughter actually found this recipe (she's 12 and mom's kitchen helper I loved it and so did my family. This is the only glaze I will use om my ham except for the occasional family recipe using red pop, cherries, and pineapples. This one taste just as delicious. Thanks Neelys!!!!!

I just made this wonderful ham for my family after reading the reviews. This was a huge hit, even amongst non-ham lovers. It was super easy. Takes a while to bake but well worth the wait. Ham turned out tender, juicy and delicious! The sweet and spicy/hot come together perfectly. The house smelled great! The glaze got very hard after standing so make sure you warm it up right before drizzling it on the ham. I will definitely make again.

This was awesome. I added a true orange packet and it gave it a wonderful tang. My husband loved it, already asked when it would be making a repeat appearance.

It was easy and delicious. I added some apple juice for the second round. We can't wait to make another ham for the Christmas dinner.

I made this ham recipe for our Thanksgiving dinner this year, and it was at the best I have had! The red pepper flakes added just the right amount of bite to the sweetness of the glaze. A real crowd pleaser! I will definitely be sharing the recipe with family and friends!

I needed a very easy recipe for the honey glaze, and this was perfect. I had a quarter ham so I did adjust cooking time. Everyone loved it and I will make it again.

We had Easter dinner at my sister's house and at the last minute she pulled this recipe off this website. Everyone loved the ham! We aren't big fans of the honey baked ham that you pay for at that expensive store, and were a bit apprehensive about this glaze. The red pepper flakes and cayenne pepper add just the right touch by off-setting the sweetness of the honey and brown sugar. My sister sprinkled a bit of the glaze on the slices of ham before serving so you could get a taste of the glaze in each bite. My husband and I loved it so much that I went out the next day and bought another ham so we can have it this upcoming weekend. Save the bone so you can make a big pot of beans!

Made this for Easter dinner last night. I was suspecious of cooking the ham at 350, as instructed, because of another review that complained about the meat being too dry. I checked around and discovered that 325 degress is a more typical temperature to use. I also found a general rule of thumb that the ham should be heated 15 minutes/pound for and end point of 140 degrees internal temp. We had a 10 pound butt end ham baked at 325 for 150 minutes, took it out of the oven at internal temp of 135 degrees, rested for 45 minutes under loose foil tent - perfect! 350 degrees would have been way too hot.

The glaze is very good. One word of caution, though. When the glaze mixture cools, it is like cement. Be carefull how you dispose of any excess. It could turn to a major drain pipe blockage if just dumped down the drain. Better to pour it into a disposable container and then toss it.

I was a little skeptical about adding a glaze to my ham, so I decided to try this recipe. I prepared the ham and followed all the instructions. I thought the glaze would be too spicy, but it balanced out just right!!! My three year old couldn't get enough and he doesn't eat ham! I had family over for Easter Sunday and the ham was gone in 20 minutes!!!! A major success! Everyone kept saying how delicious, flavorful, and juicy it was. I can't wait to try more of The Neely recipes! Happy Spring!!! :D
