I love this recipe! This is my go-to recipe for hush puppies. My husband who doesn't care for spicy foods even loves this recipe! The only thing I change is that I don't add the cheese. In my opinion cheese isn't a natural staple of hush puppies. This recipe is divine!

Easy and tasty. Don't substitute SACO buttermilk powder, I think that is why my batter wasn't thick.

These are fantastic! I've been wanting to make hush puppies for a long time and finally got around to it. I followed the recipe, except for the jalapeno (my family doesn't like them. However, the amount of batter didn't seem like it would be enough, so I ended up doubling the dry ingredients and the eggs, and the hush puppies were delicious, with just enough little kick! Super easy to make and great for crowds!

Good recipe for hushpuppies. I served them with melted red pepper jelly just like Blue Smoke in NYC! I think it is better than the sauce included in the recipe.

These were off the hook, best hushpuppies I've ever had. I added a little more cheddar and left out the jalapeno because I didn't have any. Great!

Very good! I'm not a big fan of hushpuppies but I really enjoyed these. They were light, fluffy, & little spicy.

Wow super delicious and just took minutes to make. We couldn't stop eating them hot out of the fryer.

I made these over the weekend along with a few other Neelys recipes (Clamari, wings and BBQ sauce and they were very good. Mine however were not spicy....so maybe need to kick it up a notch if you want them to be spicy. Overall...very good and I will make again.
