Very good to serve alongside any barbeque dish. I made it with the Neely's BBQ turkey meatloaf. The bacon in the mac & cheese give it a smoky flavor which accompanies BBQ based meals wonderfully. However, I would only serve this with a BBQ based dish. I would serve regular homemade mac & cheese with any other meal. My whole family liked the dish & I will definitely make again!

really really good, but I only gave it 4 stars because I think 35 minutes was just too long. I know oven temps vary so its my fault for not checking but it wasn't bubbly so I left it in the entire time. The sauce before it was baked was unbelievable, but I did add my own little spin. I added some mozarella because its so creamy, I used 1 cup heavy cream and 3 cups milk, I couldn't find my dry mustard so when I added the hot sauce I added just a smidgen of regular mustard and then added a little bit more till the taste was perfect. I will make 1/2 the sauce tomorrow for leftovers because if I try and rewarm the almost too dry pasta it won't work so I'll just pour it over the leftovers and stir a little. IF THE SAUCE IS COLD MAYBE BAKING FOR 35 MINUTES WILL WORK, BUT I THINK 20 TO 25 WOULD HAVE BEEN JUST RIGHT IN MY OVEN. BUT OVERALL THE BEST AND EASIEST MAC & CHEESE RECIPE I HAVE EVER MADE!!! THANKS PAT & GINA

i added extra cheese and it still wasn't cheesy enough. the bacon and chips were a really good addition to it though.

So delicious! We did not have the potato chips so we crushed up Texas Toast Seasoned Croutons and gave it wonderful crunch. We use 2 Cups cream and 2 Cups milk, instead of 4 Cups milk......so yummy! This is a wonderful compliment to BBQ Ribs.

This was soooo delicious! I did make one change because I like different types of cheese in my mac and cheese, so I added some Gruyere and goat's cheese in addition to the cheddar. It turned out fantastic! It did take a little longer in the oven (about 5 minutes longer, so just keep an eye on it since everyone's oven is different. We ate this with some marinated chicken legs and it was a great meal!

I can't understand how InfamousKev could even consider rating this recipe when he/she didn't follow it???? Totally unfair rating.
