After I made this Mac-n-Cheese recipe from Pat & Gina, it was hit at my family's dinner table!! I was testing the waters with a dish of the Neeley's recipe and a dish of the reg 'ole mac & cheese I make for my husband and kids.
Needless to say...they all went for the Neely's recipe! All you could hear at the table were forks scraping the plates and feet tapping under the table....it was awesome!
This dish is definitely going to be a hit at the next family get together or holiday celebrations.
Pat & Gina...you got it goin' on...all hail the King & Queen of down home cookin' !!!!

The first time I made this Macaroni and Cheese was during Christmas and it was a big hit! I got The Neely's cookbook for Christmas and that was the first recipe I wanted to try. I have made it a few times since then and although I'll admit it is rather time consuming, (a great dish for couples to make together, I think it's totally worth it for a special occasion! I think the bacon and chip topping just really adds the best flavor and texture to it... anything with bacon on it is great!

I made it with all items listed except the potato chips and bacon. It came out okay, I wasn't impressed with how strong I could taste the cayanne pepper a lil over powering. I'm still on the hunt for a mac & chz recipe thats creamy.

This dish is wonderful. It is full of flavor, rich, and creamy. I have made it multiple times and it turns out perfect each and every time. We've served it for company and everyone raves about it and wants the recipe.
I usually move the baking dish to a higher rack for the last 5 minutes of cook time. It makes the cheese and chip topping extra crunchy. A little extra cayenne never hurts either :

I don't know what I did, or did not do, but I followed he recipe to the T. I ended up with this THICK paste of sauce & could not stir in some of the ingredients by myself. It was so thick I needed my son so help me finish adding the ingredients. I thought it would get better once mix with the pasta and baked, not really. Although people like it (maybe they were just being polite I will find an easier recipe next time.

I made this for my wife and I when we got snowed in today. It was awesome. Very easy to make and some of the best comfort food I ever had. Thank you Neely's.

Wow...I've always been a fan of the classic Kraft Mac and cheese out of the box...But wow this is EXCELLENT and I will make this over and over again. Thanks for the recipe..now what to make with it?!?!
