    Not nearly as good as the recipe on the Duncan Hines cake box which has been around over 30 years. I thought the Neeley re-mix might be an improvement, but it wasn't. The Duncan Hines recipe is much better.

    I love this cake! I've made it using the box cake but with the glaze/filling and it turned out great. I'm looking forward to trying G&Ps "remix" version : Thanks to them AND Mama Neely! :

    I love the recipe due to the ingredients and the ease of making it. I put 1 teaspoon of almond flavoring instead of the lemon juice and added a bit more milk. Just a personal preference!

    I was excited to make this cake but it was a disappointment. The cake was not bad, but it was nothing special. It was a little dry, but maybe I over baked it.

    OMG! Mama Neely THANK YOU!! My mother used to make this cake when I was growing up. Unfortunately the recipe had been lost to the ages....Until now! This is a great cake and I am so thankful to yall for posting it!
