    I've made several cakes in my life and I have to be honest, This cake is like 1 of the best tasting cakes that I've made. It was so moist and the taste of the pecans with the cinnamon and brown sugar taste was just fantastic. This I most definitely will do again and again.

    I HAVE MADE THIS CAKE SEVERAL TIMES AND IT IS SIMPLE AND VERY GOOD. I SEE SOME COMMENTS THAT SAY NOTHING SPECIAL. ANYTIME SOMEONE BAKES A CAKE THAT DOESN'T TASTE LIKE CORNMEAL IS SPECIAL. SO TIRED OF COMPLAINERS! THANKS FOR THE RECIPE AND I WILL CONTINUE ON MAKING IT FOR ALL THOSE WHO ENJOY IT AS I DO.....

    Not nearly as good as the recipe on the Duncan Hines cake box which has been around over 30 years. I thought the Neeley re-mix might be an improvement, but it wasn't. The Duncan Hines recipe is much better.

    I love this cake! I've made it using the box cake but with the glaze/filling and it turned out great. I'm looking forward to trying G&Ps "remix" version : Thanks to them AND Mama Neely! :

    I love the recipe due to the ingredients and the ease of making it. I put 1 teaspoon of almond flavoring instead of the lemon juice and added a bit more milk. Just a personal preference!

    I was excited to make this cake but it was a disappointment. The cake was not bad, but it was nothing special. It was a little dry, but maybe I over baked it.
