Made this for Vday dinner for my hubby.. Amazing!!!! Baked two right away and refrigerated another two to make the following day. Both versions came out great. Now i can make them in advanced and bake during the dinner party.

Amazing cake for very little effort! I usually half the recipe and it works just fine. Sometimes I also reduce the egg and make a nice warm spongy type cake rather than a molten cake. One thing that I think makes it super tasty is adding whiskey or bourbon. Yum! It just adds a nice flavor to the kick it already has. This has never failed to impress people either. I have left this in the fridge for a few days and will take it out for 30 minutes before I want to bake it. It still turns out well if you want to do it a few days ahead.

Looks easy, but I haven't tried this yet; have a question: I don't have a 6 oz ramekin, only 3.5 oz ramekins. Will those work? I'm concerned that the baking guidelines might change?

Definitely easy to make. I thought that there were too many flavors so I left out the nutmeg and almond extract. I added a shot of Kahlua instead and also a pinch of salt because I just don't think it can be left out even though modern recipes try to!

Timing is very important so if possible, bake at the last minute and serve immediately or else the cake keeps cooking and the amount of molten filling decreases. I baked one of the ramekins first to see how high to fill it and how long to cook them. I ended up filling mine almost to the top and cooked them about 11 minutes to have a big molten center! Very Yummy!

LOL - some of these reviews. OVEN THERMOMETER. My personal opinion on the taste is that the almond extract and nutmeg does not fit here. Either cayenne & cinnamon, or almond & nutmeg, not both. I dont get the comment on the sugar, unless they used milk choc or gran sugar and not confect sugar. These are not sicky sweet. I have made this and Anne Burrels recipe and just realized they are almost identical. Christmas Dinner Desert- Cant wait.
