This was really nasty! No flavor at all. I even tried adding more spices to it, but it just didn't work. I'll stick to store bought fried chicken for now, as there has yet to be a great fried chicken recipe out there.

I love Pat and Giina. I watch the show everyday. Every recipe I've tried I liked or loved. But this chicken was not at all spicey. Next time I would add probally twice the amount of seasoning. I love spciey. The family thought the chicken was the bomb. So I gave it three stars because of them.

I've read alot of reviews stating this recipe has no taste. When I prepared this or any other recipe I usually season to my likely and add different seasoning. My family loved it! This recipe will be one I will use from here on out. Thanks Gina and Pat for a great recipe!!

Sorry, this one just did not work for me. In spite of following recipe as written, I did not achieve the spiciness I was looking for. In fact the recipe was bland and tasteless. I'll be hesitant about using other of their recipes. Won't be trying this again

This is absolutely the best pan fried chicken i have ever eaten in my lifetime. The whole family went on and on about this chicken dinner. Keep up the great work Pat & Gina.

This recipe and one in cook book which is the husband version it awesom. I cannot get enough of this chicken. The one in the cook book of husband's version is my favorite. I love to marinate the chicken in buttermilk after seasoning for one day. It is so, so good. Now I have actually pray that I will not eat this too much in the beginning I could not stop making the husband's version in the cookbook. I am doing a little better now but I look forward to cooking this and NEVER a big fried chicken eater until now. THANK YOU for sharing!!

I made the entire menu and while the others were so disappointing, this recipe was great! I did however add more salt as it needed it in the flour. But we like our foods a bit saltier. :

I did this recipe with both bone in and boneless chicken, awesome for both.

This chicken is fantastic as is, but I just can't leave well enough alone. I added some molasses to the buttermilk marinade (just a touch! as well as a few minced scotch-bonnnet peppers. This gave the finished product a "sweet heat" reminicent of jerk chicken...irie!

If you aren't sure about the correct spice added to the chicken, fry a test piece and check the flavor. If you need it more spicy then go ahead and add more spice and fry all the pieces. I actually added a little more heat to the recipe, because we like spicy food. All in all it was a great recipe.
