I'm disappointed with this recipe,I really thought it would be delicious, but I found it too soft, melts in your hands, and just too bitter even though I used less bittersweet chocolate and more semi sweet, there's no taste to the cherries either. I didn't use the gold leaf.

I loved the taste and texture of the chocolate, but it took a long time to harden. I expected it to be more like chocolate bark, but it was more like ganache.

After it hardened, it softened quickly after you took it out of the fridge. Would make wonderful truffles.

I would recommend putting the chocolate in the fridge overnight after breaking it up before putting it into cellophane bags to give as gifts. The chocolate delight is similar to a ganache truffle.

I agree, it's much to soft and not a good gift candy. Thinking to much cream for the amount of chocolate so after the holidays I'm going to experiment with less and see what happens. Will keep you posted!

I have all the Ingredients but cant find a place to buy the gold leaf from. Went on line and what I found was very expensive. Where do I find this at or what could I use that would be more resonable priced. Help

After making the chuncky chocolate delight, if you leave it out it becomes very soft. It is not like a candy that you can leave out. I think if you get rid of the cream, it will become more like a candy or a brittle. I have not made it without the cream but the other ingredients make it taste good. Have to keep it in the frigerator to keep it firm.
