The BEST stuffing ever!! my family couldn't get enough of it! I did omit the pecans in case my guests had allergies....but still was DELISH!

This year was my first time cooking Thanksgiving dinner for my in-laws of 5 years. All of his aunts and uncles have been married for at least 30-40 years, Needless to say I was nervous as heck. I wanted something new; yet not traditional. THIS WAS A HIT! Everyone was surprised and well fed.lol THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH GUYS, KEEP IT UP

This was better than expected. I didn't think I cared for cornbread stuffing, but my mother wanted me to make some. I chose this recipe, didn't add the pecans, but it was YUMMY. Easy to make too!

Generally, I don't make or eat stuffing, but when I found out no one signed up to bring the stuffing to the company Thanksgiving luncheon, I said why not I'll try to make a stuffing. The Neelys nailed this. I personally ate several servings and my co-workers loved it. It was so easy to make and it smelled delicious while I was preparing it. There were two things I changed: I used one 1-lb. pan of store bought prepared cornbread which I cut into chunks and toasted in the oven and mixed with the 16 oz. dry cornbread in recipe. I replaced the pecans with 2 cups of whole fresh cranberries in case anyone eating this had nut allergies. It worked beautifully. The sweetness of the prepared cornbread, the tart of the cranberries and the bacon, etc. were fabulous. Moist, flavorful and it baked up to a beautiful golden brown with pops of red cranberries. The Neelys know what rocks!

I made this on Thanksgiving, all the flavors blended together so well, yet stood out. This was so delicious, I used the Stove Top mix, and I added water chestnuts as well!

I love you guys. You are the sweetest couple in the kitchen.
As for the cornbread stuffing, it is the new favorite of the Rucci house. You guys rock.

tasty and easy, but I skimmed 5 tbs of bacon fat off before adding veggies and still had enough to saute. Didn't need a whole stick of butter of top either..
