Well, as it turns out HSN has this smoker on sale this week for 39.95.

The smoker the Neelys used in this recipe is the Stovetop Smoker by Camerons cost around $55. Check their web site at http://www.cameronscookware.com/. Works great and when used correctly does not set off the smoke alarms. It is a life saver for that smoked/grilled flavor when it's too cold to cook outside.

Please give more detail on the indoor smoking. I am confused. Do you place the meat directly on the smoke chips. Perhaps a video would be beneficial.

I would like to comment on this show in general. I love the neelys. Our times involve so many realty shows that are filled with negative vibes. Gina and pat give this show a refreshing change of tone. Nothing wrong with a little love. Great margarita dance on this episode Gina ! Love ya"ll!

I loved this recipe and so did my family. I had to omit the smoking, rather I just baked the pork shoulder for five hours. If you do not have an indoor grill and don't want to bother smoking outside. The meat fall apart!

I am not fond of onion powder so i just sprinkled it, and i used brown sugar instead of white.. i didn't taste much flavor though as far as the seasoning goes but i still liked it . plan on adding bbq sauce tomorrow when we eat it ! I was afraid of the chips in the oven so i used liquid smoke in place of it

Im unclear on the smoking part. Do you put the pork DIRECTLY on the chips?? or is it wrapped in foil and placed on top? I watched this episode Oct 2008 but caught the tail end of it when the pork was in the Oven.. LOOKED SOOOOO GOOOD!!!
    Im itching to try it!!
    Thank You!

This recipe was the bomb. My children and grandchildren just loved the dish and they are not veggie people. My husband and I look forward to your show, and definitely your upcoming new show. We could watch you all day girlfiend. You both make the show along with your recipes. Our family joins us on saturdays because that's when Mamacita cooks Neely Style. Keep on cookin. Love you both

I've had a stovetop smoker for several years but had been hesitant to try it until I saw this recipe. I'm hooked now! The first time I made it I followed the recipe exactly and it was really great, but I thought it needed a bit of extra salt. The second time I made it I put the original rub on and left it for about 24 hours, then just before smoking sprinkled it liberally with seasoned salt and also injected it with a few ounces of apple juice and smoked it according to the directions. It was awesome!!! I served it for a large family dinner and everyone raved about it. Just be sure to seal the smoker very tightly with foil and that you have your stove vent on the whole time.
