Nice presentation before you bake. I did the circles as suggested. My berries were very sweet to begin with and wound up being very very tart. Went exactly by the recipe. Not a fan.

This recipe was delicious! The pie it self was very tasty, but the sugar crystals on top is what made it even better. Also the homemade whipping cream was wonderful, I will be making my own whipping cream like that from now on!

Both are super easy to make! It was my first time making a pie and whipped cream, they both came out yummy!

Being that this was the very first pie I have ever made, I was a bit nervous at first. But not only was it VERY simple to make, it turned out wonderful & was extremely delicious! I LOVE the strawberry whipped cream on top, it's so creative & I love how it continues the strawberry theme. I will not only be making this pie again, but I am looking forward to making other pies as well! = ]

Store-bought crust? The worst, The crust was loaded with salt.
My strawberries started out sweet and delicious, but adding all the lemon juice killed the sweetness.
Also, could not find sanding sugar.
Guess i'm more of a cake person than pie.

That pie was Great, but next time i'll add more cornstarch. I made the cream too, but it didn't work for me. Maybe i'll try it again but i don't know.

I baked this pie last night and made the strawberry whipped cream. It was amazing! The strawberry whipped cream was so delicious with the pie and I will definitely continue to make the whipped cream whenever I make this pie!

This strawberry pie is sooo good and it's easy to make, too; thank you Neelys!
I used flour (6 tblsp since I didn't have corn starch on hand. And just like Gina did, I cut out circles for the top crust, which I brushed with margarine - it's all I had on hand - and sprinkled with plain sugar.
The timing of the Neely's show was spot on; I had a lot of strawberries on hand that needed fixin' and I wasn't sure what to do with all of them when I saw the Neelys bake the 'berries into a pie, which I'd never seen done before nor do I recall having ever eaten strawberry pie. Wonderful into!

This recipe was delicious! The only problem I had was that its a little watery so try adding more cornstarch, but overall a very good recipe!
