    I am a huge fan of the Neelys and I was super excited to make this pie. Unfortunately it came out just awful. The recipe called for way too many strawberries, it was extremely runny and entirely too sweet. I t was a total was of money and time! Nevertheless, still a fan of the weird but cute couple.

    Simple, Fresh and Delicious! We had a ton of strawberries that we picked at a local field and I was looking for recipes to use them all - this was a hands down favorite at my house!

    Take advantage of spring and make this pie right now! It was so simple, and took a bit less time to bake than what the recipe states. Definitely serve it with the whipped cream. For the person complaining it was too sweet, perhaps you had VERY good strawberries. Taste your strawberries before adding the sugar.

    OMG!!!! Thank you soooo much Ms Gina for the receipe & video I was the boom on Sunday's dinner. My husband and children loved the pie it put smiles on their faces.I put a picture of it on our fb page check it

    For someone who's never been a pie baker, even I could make this one after watching the Neelys' show. I didn't have a store pie crust on hand, so I used one of the simple Food Network crust recipes. Also, in place of the sugar I used Splenda Blend, to make me feel a little less guilty. It worked out great. Down Home With The Neelys has so many delicious treats!

    Forget about foot in the pie, it's probably my tooth! The recipe is very easy to make and I will make it again but only after tinkering with the sugar amount. It was super sweet -- to the point where we couldn't finish our slices and that *never* happens. The strawberry whip cream actually lessened the super sweetness a bit and was delicious on it's own.i might also add a little more corn starch to help it gel more and maybe lessen the 400F time since the crust got a little too golden during that stage. Overall good pie but could use some tweaks to become an great pie.

    I'm not a baker, but this pie looked great on TV. I added a pint of Blueberry's as well and this pie was awsome!! It will be a new staple in my house. Can't wait to make it again..
