I made this tonight and it was *fabulous.* I used low-fat buttermilk and boneless chicken breasts. Otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly. I reduced the cooking time to 35 minutes and my chicken was moist and flavorful throughout. This will become a standard at our house. Thank you Pat & Gina!

Pat and Gina are two of my favorite hosts on Food Network, and they never cease to disappoint with their simple, down-home recipes. This oven fried chicken recipe was no exception. If you like your chicken on the spicy-hot side (not too hot though, you'll be looking for another piece to steal. I think the key to this crispy coating is the spritz of olive oil right before you put it in the oven. Oh, another important feature about this chicken recipe ... your house will fill up with the most wonderful scents from all of the flavors - I'm inhaling it right now as I write this review! Thanks to Pat and Gina for another great meal! Five out of Five Stars here!

The recipe was very easy to follow. I used skinless chicken breast. It was delicious and crispy.
I wish the nutrition data was available

My husband and I thought this was delicious (we stuffed ourselves, especially for oven-fried chicken. I doubled most of the spices (which I usually do, so it was super flavorful and spicy. Very crunchy, too!

This chicken is very good. I live in a very small town and our local grocery store didn't sale panko bread crumbs so I bought chicken breader instead. I didn't think it was going to be as crispy as it was. It tasted good. Next time I will use the panko bread crumbs though.

Very good and super easy! Will definitely repeat. Next time I will probably marinate the chicken first and increase the amount of the spices in the breading to give it more flavor.

I was so excited to try this recipe. I followed the instructions to the letter. In the end, it was good, but nothing to "write home about;" I was actually a little disappointed. I ended up thinking, "this was good, but not worth the trouble of repeating."

I found it very tasty! The coating stuck, because I pressed it into the egg coating, and it was crisp all over, because I placed it on a rack and not directly into the pan.

The taste was extremely savory, the crust wonderfully crunchy, and the chicken was moist, tender and delicious! Definitely a do again.
