I followed this recipe exactly and it was awesome!!! My husband couldn't stop raving about it. It was very easy to prepare.

The Neeely's have great food! Just a comment - please keep hurtful comments about the Neely's out of the recipe reviews as no one wants to hear personalized insults about people. thank you

This recipe is really good. I chunk up the meat and put it in the slow cooker for 7 hours on low. I also don't put in the orange and lime halves just the juice. I still reduce the sauce at the end and I serve it with crunchy taco shells or soft tortilla. I don't like the soft corn tortilla. The next day we throw it on buns with the slaw for lunch. Everyone loves it!

This recipe was great. I used a slow cooker instead, and used regular chili powder instead of chipotle and it was so good! The slaw and the pork go together so well. We will definitely be making this again.

What a shame! ....to prepare a recipe according to the instructions and have it turn out inedible! I will make it again, though, but I'll use only the fruit juices and leave out the orange and lime halves, which made the dish terribly bitter.

I wish people would not rate a recipe unless they have actually tried it.

I cooked a whole boston butt instead of chunks (doubled the ingredients, basting with the sauce a couple of times over the cooking period (5 hours at 300 degrees. When it was done, I shredded the pork and set it aside, then removed the solid stuff (orange and lime rinds, onions and reduced the sauce over low heat for about 20 minutes, then added the pulled meat back into the sauce. Yum! My family loved it and using a 7 pound butt made enough meat for 2 meals and gave my dog a nice big bone to gnaw on. I love the citrus flavor, and didn't find it bitter at all (but then I didn't shred up the peel with the meat. On it's own the meat is rather spicy-hot, but with the cool cabbage slaw it's perfect.
The Neelys have never disappointed me with their recipes.

I made every recipe featured in this episode, and everything surpassed my expectations! But let's talk about the pork......AMAZING!!!! Pat, you have outdone yourself - the citrus flavors with the pork were lovely, and the Zesty Slaw was a perfect companion. I cooked the pork in the slow cooker, and it turned out fine. My family will definately be happy to see this meal on our dinner table often! Thanks Gina and Pat! You both are a joy to watch!

We are waiting for the pork to cook and it smells terrific. My son was helping me and I asked him to be my spice fairy and he said NO! He was the "spice doctor". 4 year olds are too cute and very helpful. He even tasted the spice mixture and loved it.

I registered on this site just to talk about this. I am currently eating leftovers at lunch and had to stop what I was doing. The orange in this is what makes it. It's delicious!!! It's fast, delicious and we have already made it twice in two weeks!!!
