We loved the citrus taste - quite different from any other taco meat I've tasted. The whole thing was easy to make and well worth the couple of hours to prep and cook. My family loved the slaw though I thought it was a bit too vinegary. FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO COMMENT ABOUT THE SHOW AND NOT REVIEW THE RECIPES... go to the bottom of the page (any page and clIck on "Contact Us." There you will be able to make a comment or ask a question about shows or recipes. The recipe review is not the appropriate place.

I made these tonight and absolutely thought they were the best pulled pork tacos I have ever had. We ended up having some friends over and everyone just raved at how great they tasted. I made hard shell tacos out of the corn tortillas by shallowing frying them and everything just blended well. Will definitely be on my family's rotation!

I have to admit that sometimes The Neely's can be a bit much. However, I don't think they are being fake. It's just the opposite, they are being themselves, goofy and fun-loving. Is that so bad??? Really, do you all hate them so much that you have to say such nasty things and be so HATEFUL. It's kinda sad and disheartening. I mean if they irritate you so much... JUST STOP WATCHING. If you want to know what's getting old and tired, are you guys acting like you don't have no control over your own television. Change the station already and be quiet. I plan on trying this recipe, it looks delicious that's why I gave it 5 stars. However, after reading the real reviews I am a little concerned about the bitterness. By the way, they must be doing something right... How long have they been on the air now??? I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but my goodness, the hateful nastiness is just plane sad!!!

This is like my 5th recipe of theirs I've tried with no issues and a delicious result. I agree with the other posts about the citrus quality and thats something everyone should base on their own tastes...recipes are just guides! I surely don't know how anyone could've gotten a yuk from this recipe....pork roast is a no brainer for even the most basic cook! And as for the y'all comments - I'm from the South - I've lived in MS; AL; GA and traveled or have family from FL; TN; NC; SC - y'all is real! And we don't really consider TX the South....they do their own thing. If you don't like their antics....don't watch! I know couples who are like this with each other and far be it from me and YOU to tell anyone how to act. Get over yourselves and get a life....its just a TV show, they are just 2 people trying to stay married and have a career together!

Great meal! The pulled pork was juicy the slaw crisp and just the perfect topping for the tacos. We also made the homemade salsa and Mexican rice from the same show La Vida Memphis both were also great. I usually need to increase the amount of most recipies to satisfy my family's large appetite but really didn't need to do this (but I did. I am glad I did. The leftovers made great stuffed green peppers the next night. I cooked the green peppers (turned upside down in the microwave with a small amount of water in the dish until mostly cooked. Next I filled the green peppers 2/3 full with the Mexican rice, a small amt of sauce I had saved (what the pork simmered in, then filled the green pepper with the pulled pork and baked covered @ 350 until hot then topped with a slice of cheddar cheese and returned to oven until melted. I warmed the rest of the leftover rice in the same baking dish, I sprayed the dish with nonstick spray. It was a great way to use these tasty leftovers.

I loved this show and plan on making the every recipe on it. Just had to add what is up with this woman from Baltimore. Why are these people haters just because they have an opinion of the Neely's? Seems like you have more of an issue than any one else. Pat's fake laughter makes me ill as well. Does that make someone a hater?? He needs to calm the laughter down a tad and the sexual inuendos

This pork was SO great! Living in Arizona, we make and eat lots of Mexican food. I bet I cook it at least twice per week. I HAD to make this recipe when I saw it. It came out just as I thought it would....flavorful and tender! I would recommend this to anyone who likes lots of flavor and likes to try new things.
Also, I bought the Neely's new cookbook. I highly recommend it! It is the MOST entertaining cookbook I've ever read! I plan to make lots of the recipes...there are so many good ones. Growing up in Kansas City, I had barbeque all around me and loved it! I also love Memphis style barbeque. I have never wanted to attempt making my own barbeque at home because of my lack of confidence. However, after reading this cookbook, I am inspired and am going to buy myself a smoker as soon as I can! The directions on how to smoke meat are so well explained.
I also want to say that I LOVE the energy that the Neelys project. I know a large handful of viewers complain, but I think the Neelys look like SO much fun to be around! It's nice to see a married couple getting along so well. If you read the cookbook and all of the history that they share about themselves, you'll know that they are NOT fake! Keep up the good work!

This made delicious tacos. I used leftovers for empanadas and it worked wonderfully. After reading previous reviews, I only used the juice from the citrus. I'm originally from Dallas and miss the Tex-Mex. This brought it home to MS...thank you!
