I made these wings yesterday and thought they were amazing! I let them marinade for 2 hours and I didn't have any cayenne pepper so I added a teaspoon of habanero sauce to the egg mixture. My family and I didn't really find the wings spicy at all (my dad who doesn't eat spicy food ate the wings too!, we didn't mind because they were phenomenal. We loved them so much I'm actually making them for tomorrow's 4th of July festivities. I actually just finished making the marinade for the wings so they'll be marinading overnight. This time, I've added alot more hot sauce so I expect the wings tomorrow to be spicy. Wow can't wait. Thanks for the recipe, Neelys!

It was delish, nice level of spicy. I wouldnt mind a little more kick :But overall it was very good, and I look forward to cooking it for friends. I may even try the spices on the grill.

To g9rocks64...I think you misunderstood the directions...it was not meant to be a mixed batter. You have to dip the wings in the egg mixture and then coat them with the flour mixture. Give it another try. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Best Wings ever!!! We always did wings either deep fried or in the oven and then put hot sauce over them when they were done. We discovered this recipe when we discovered the Food Network and "Down Home with the Neelys" at the same time. Their show is the first we watched and they were making up these wings. We love the flavor of this recipe and we will never go back to the other wings. I have shared this recipe with my family and friends. Thank you!!!!!
