I thought I would try someone else's recipe for peach cobbler other than mine, I chose the Neely's and my, oh my, it was great. I baked it for Christmas 2011 dinner and there was none leftover! Everyone ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.

Thank you very much! I will be using this recipe again, and again!

I absolutely loved this recipe! I did make a few alterations (based on my personal preference. I used canned peaches and drained the juice. Because of the Fall season, I incorporated spices that remind me of Fall: Cinnamon, Cardamom, Ground Coriander and Real Vanilla. I doubled the dough recipe and made a bottom and top crust (the crust was amazing! And with the scraps, was able to make fall leaves and pumpkins to decorate the top crust (just for fun. It was a little sweet, but sweet is good. I omitted the sugar on top after glazing with egg wash but again, it was my personal preference to do so; I'm sure it would have been great. For those who would prefer less sweet, adjust the recipe to your liking ~ I don't think you could go wrong with this recipe. The recipe is wonderful and for an experience baker, it's easy to substitute. My husband really enjoyed the cobbler and I was pleased with the outcome. I'll keep this as my "go to" cobbler as it is easy to make and tasty. Enjoy!!

Everyone loved this! Best Cobbler ever. For those who think it's too sweet... what cobbler isn't?! Serve it with Vanilla ice cream and it will be the hit party. It is even better than the Grandmothers' recipes.

The crust was horrible it killed the whole dish. I will use another crust recipe next time but the filling part was amazing!

I loved this recipe. I didn't have the almond liqueur, so I substituted almond extract and used a little red scupernog wine, which gave the juice an awesome flavor. (sounds crazy, but it was really good I also used a stick of softened butter around my pan before pouring in the peach mixture. I didn't use cinnamon, but nutmeg and only fresh peaches. After enjoying the cobbler the first time, I realize that you MUST prepare this dish one day prior to the day that you play to serve it. It is so much better the next day. Well...I have to go. I'm going to make this dish for my mom and daughter, for the first time.

very easy to make but too much sugar for my taste, kids thought it was wonderful though. my peaches were very small and slightly tart, pulled the off the tree before the huricane last weekend, so used more. cups or pounds of sliced fruit would be helpful. substituted Grand marnier and orange rind and juice for the almaretto only becuase I didn't have any. Orange helped cut the sweatness too. will definitely make again but will definitely cut the sugar back with the fruit. loved the biscuit topping though. yum
