This recipe was one of the best I've made from The Neelys. All the chicken needed was a pinch of salt. Other than that...the chicken was so juicy on the inside and I left it in just a tad bit longer for a crispier outside.

Mr and Mrs Neely, just ignore the haters in these ratings and keep the good recipe's coming. I've cooked cornish hens many times in my rotisserie. Your recipe was by far the most flavorful hen's I've ever cooked or tasted. My fiance enjoyed them as well.

This is so easy and so good! I have made it twice and the second time, when they knew what was coming their way, my family was so excited! LOVE LOVE LOVE the Neelys! They make resonable food that everyday people can actually make and enjoy! Keep up the great work, you both make me smile!

I made these for a special romantic dinner with my Valentine and two bites into the meal, we looked up to see each other literally licking our fingers for that amazing flavor! I love my momma, but I think this recipe tops even hers. The prep was simple, few ingredients with easy substitutes, and didn't involve cutting the birds in half! The Neelys sure know what they're doing!

I made these for my husband as a Valentines' Day dinner. I hadn't cooked cornish hens in 25 years so this was a welcome change. I followed the recipe exactly as written and it was great. I think the next time I will not use an onion that was so big. I also think it would be good to soak the hens in brine before using the other seasoning. I think that would give more flavor. All the birds were very moist. I will definitely use this recipe again.

I watched this show, and I thought hum that seems easy. Oh my gosh, I was very impressed with how moist the hens turned out. This was my first time cooking cornish hens, and they were delicious. Thanks for sharing this easy to make recipe. I really enjoy your show, and I wish you all the BEST!!!!

Well, my hens will be done in about 20 minutes. I did mine with some roasted potatoes and other veggies. I will say that it smells DEEEE-LICIOUS! I'm from the Bahamas and we love flavor! With that being said, I will post back and let you all know what I thought and what my family thought. Including my VERY picky boyfriend who comments on EVERYTHING!

I enjoy the variety of food programming that the network provides - Chef Jeff, Big Daddy's Kitchen and of course, Paula make the food network so much more interesting.
I was disappointed with the personal opinions but extremely pleased with the recipe!! This dish is a perfect alternative to preparing a turkey which yields massive amounts of leftovers!! The Hen was perfectly seasoned - which is exactly what you will find with the Neely Recipes as well as their genuine Southern personalities. Sure, Gina is unlike most Food Network stars, but that is what a great deal of us enjoy - a nice change of pace; variety.
