My kids hated this recipe! The bread was soggy! I think I will try it again but use hash browns. Honestly, I hated the bread too!

Here's what I think. It's very good. But one thing - not cooking with leeks at all I wondered...how much of the leek do you use? I used the whole bunch (4 stalks and it was just about 2 cups with parts of the dark green. Many times on recipes from FN it seems to leave just a little something out and I must say I'm not a natural cook. I am the cook that I am from FN so don't take for granted we all know exactly what you mean :

I didn't wait overnight. I cooked it right away. On top of the Sausage and Leek mixture I put matchstick/julianned carrots on top and sprinkled a lot of shredded cheese on top. The Carrots added more moisture and a great additional flavor. Additionally, I used HOT spicy ground sausage. A lot more flavor and we did not think it was overly spiced. I would think some children would not like that, but it depends on their taste as well. ENJOY! :

My sister gave me this recipe to make for pot-luck at work. It was very easy to make especially for a novice cook like myself. I will make this again and again!

I got this recipe from a co-worker and made it for father's day. WOW....not only was it super easy it was so, so delicious and flavorful. I used turkey breakfast sausage versus pork sausage and it was wonderful. It's perfect for guest because of the convenience of making it the day before and just popping it in the oven left me feeling like I was missing something the next morning. I was missing something alright....time in the kitchen over a hot stove making breakfast! :- definitely a keeper!

This breakfast casserole is fantastic! My whole family went nuts over it and I found the recipe to be very versatile. Zucchini subs well for the leeks and just about any kind of sausage (like chorizo... could be used. In addition, ethnic seasonings can be added to give it a mexican, italian, or creole bent.
