Made this for my family today and they loved it. Even my husband who does not usually comment on my cooking said "this is my lunch tomorrow!" I did as one of the reviewers below said and added cheddar cheese and bacon bits and put it in the oven to melt. This was so easy and quick to make. Thank you Neelys for another great side dish!

What a great idea to add broccoli to potatoes. Mellows out the broccoli and gives flavor to the potatoes. I used buttermilk instead of milk and butter (trying to cut the fat and added a little sharp chedder cheese. Loved it!

These were delicious! My husband is not a big fan of broccoli, but he loved these mashed potatoes despite the broccoli. I went light on the milk, cream and broccoli because I like my potatoes a little thicker and it was still great. A new favorite!

These were so good. My entire family loved them. Easy and delicious--what more could I want? I paid attention to the tip from the show, too, and used cold water to start my potatoes. I also used lots of kosher salt. I use salt in moderation EXCEPT when it comes to potatoes....love lots of salt in them!

Brocolli has been my favorite veggie since childhood, so I was excited to try this recipe. I was disappointed with the results. I found that the brocolli made the potatoes very watery and flavorless, even with the addition of roasted garlic. In the future I was serve these dishes individually.

I made these Saturday to preview them for Thanksgiving. Hubbie and son loved them!! Warming the liquid keeps them from becoming gummy. Great dish!!

My boyfriend and I tried this recipe this weekend, and it was delicious. To cut down on the fat, we used lowfat milk instead of whole milk and cream but added some reduced fat cheddar cheese for some flavor. I will definiltey make this again. I love the Neelys!!
