This ham recipe is so good! The glaze is to die for (literally - it has a cup of butter in it after all. I served this for Easter and everyone loved it. I think a little of that glaze would be excellent with carrots. A new go to recipe when I'm going to do a ham.

Absolutely delicious! We weren't sure at first - the rub had a strong smell, but once it started smoking on the grill, it was great! The ham was moist and flavorful and the sauce was delicious. With the leftovers, I made navy bean soup which was fantastic. Hands down the best ham we ever ate!

I didn't make the ham since I used a spiral sliced ham and seasoned it with Cajun Injector seasoning and marinade but I did make the Sweet Holiday Glaze. The glaze is awesome! Super tasty and not as sweet as you might think. This is the best glaze we have ever had! Be warned you may need to simmer for quite a long time to get the syrup consistency but the time was well worth it.

My family LOVED it!! I was concerned at first because my 11 yr old son is a finicky eater and I didn't know if he'd like the smell of the bourbon, but he ate it like a hoover sucking up dirt, as did the rest of my family. This recipe gets saved for re-use. Thank you Pat and Gina!

Everyone loves this ham. This is the second year I've been making it and it is almost expected for any holiday get-together. The only thing I do different is pour some glaze over the ham while it is heating up, every 20 minutes or so. It kinda makes a sticky crust all around the ham and the stuff that falls off the ham mixes with the juices, so I stir that together and use it like gravy. Healthy? Maybe not, but certainly delicious, hey it's the holidays!

This was the best ham I ever prepared! I did not even have leftovers to make my pot of pinto beans that always comes after we have ham. Instead of smoking the ham myself I used a spiral cut smoked ham and warmed it in the oven after marinating overnight with the Neelys house seasoning. I also love pineapple, so I added chunk pineapple without the juice to the glaze before pouring over the ham. It was a hit!!! My family will be expecting this ham from now on!

We used the rub and I let it sit for over 24 hours in the refrigerator. We had a 14 pound (uncut, unflavored and precooked ham this time, and I smoked it (in a smoker at 200 degrees for 14 hours. Don't forget the pan of water in the smoker, and hickory chips over the coals.... I also put a little red wine in the water to add a little more flavor.

The result was amazing. I could have been done right there... but we made the holiday glaze too. I ended up putting the glaze in a gravy bowl and let our guests treat it like gravy over the ham. It was good.... real good. I'm glad I made such a big ham I can enjoy it for leftovers. If you can... save the sauce and slowly reheat it in the microwave and stir it a few times while reheating. I think this ham is going to be a Christmas tradition. Such a wonderful meal on a cold winter's night. It sticks to your ribs and warms you right up!!!!! I would give it 6 stars if I could. You have to try this recipe!!!!!
