The flavor on this turkey was so amazing and it was the most moist turkey I have ever had. This recipe will definately be at the top of our list for turkeys. Thank you Pat and Gina.

I printed out this recipe for next year's turkey. I may even attempt to smoke a turkey for Christmas. Many thanks to the Neely's!

I have been looking for the perfect turkey recipe since my mom died 8 years ago. I tried many different methods of making turkey....but none were recipes that I wanted to keep..until I tried this recipe! My son saw this episode of the show and asked me to watch, also, so I looked up the recipe and decided to give it a try. This was by far the best turkey I ever made! I am using this method to make my turkey this year, as well.......and I suspect that I will forever use it.

I do not have a smoker, so I roasted my turkey in the oven, as well as stuffing it. I then used a Reynold's cooking bag and slow roasted the turkey until done. The meat was so tender it was falling off the bone before it was ever cut!

Please don't be afraid to use your oven to use this recipe! I used the oven and still got an excellent result! I am going to do the same this year.

Thank you Neely's, for sharing your recipe and providing me with a turkey that I finally feel is a 'keeper'. :

Just wondering......can this be roasted instead of smoked? I'm not sure if the weather will be warm enough to smoke up here in the north this time of year. The recipe sounds fabulous and I can't wait to try it. If anyone knows if it can be roasted please let me know.
