This was a great recipe! I used one bag of frozen corn and used half & half instead of heavy cream (I don't usually have heavy cream in my fridge. At first it was very runny and I wondered if it would thicken... and it did! It did take about 25 minutes or so to get a nice, thick consistency. As for the bacon fat, not only did I add that, I also added the bacon itself. I fried two strips, poured the fat into the pan, chopped the bacon strips and added those in five minutes before the corn was ready. Absolutely amazing!

This recipe was the best creamed corn I have ever made, I use frozen corn, I forgot to add water and it was still amazing.

Very good recipe. Came out wonderfully for us. I had to use frozen corn and my only complaint was that I had to thicken it slightly with cornstarch. No biggie though. Overall a great recipe. Will make again.

I love this recipe!! I have to admit, in the beginning the Neely chatter kind of got to me but the more I watch them the more I come to love them both! Everything they put together looks delicious and I am anxious to try all of it. The creamed corn reminds me of the corn at Lawry's Prime Rib Restaurant in Beverly Hills....YUM YUM!! : It's kinda like dessert and very easy to make. It is a hit with my family. The only downside is cleaning the husks from the cobs.

I cannot believe that people are so ignorant to rate a recipe one star because they don't like the chatter these two makes. Even though they say they like the recipe.

Anyway, this is my absolute favorite corn recipe and the only thing I do differently is to use frozen corn instead. I make sure I keep bacon fat on hand just to make this recipe and the bacon fat does make the dish. I even made this as one of my sides for Xmas last year and everybody loved it along with the other sides.

Loved this recipe; I added just a little jalopeno peppers for some kick, and my family loved it.

It one of my favorite corn dishes now. Instead of flour I used cornstarch to avoid the flour taste. I also used 3/4 of a teaspoon of real vanilla and more sugar. I added no salt to keep it sweet. It was a huge success at Thanksgiving dinner. I already got requests for next year.
