This is works with either grilled corn, or even frozen corn, but you miss a lot of the flavor from the grilled corn if you don't use it. I also like to add in a bit of rosemary. Everony loved this corn!

Growing up we used to visit my relatives in central Alabama, and they always made fresh creamed corn. This recipe tastes just like I remember. We love it! And, we love Down Home with the Neelys.

Now, this is how creamed corn should taste, yall! The bacon drippings, salt, pepper, sugar and flour provide just enough of a "supporting cast" to allow the flavor of the corn to come through in a five-star performance. This recipe is destined to become an heirloom in my family's archives! Thanks, Pat and Gina!

This is a true southern delicacy. All of you complaining about the conversation between this husband and wife don't understand how wonderful it is for a husband and wife to be together in the kitchen working together. Maybe it is a southern thing, but don't be hating. I wish my husband helped me nearly as much as Pat helps Gina. Keep it up Neelys!! I personally enjoy your rapport . Every time I see your show, I just wish I was there to enjoy the finished product, keep up the good work!!

I have had this in my recipe box for quite a while now and I finally decided to try it. I am so glad I did, this is a simple but delicious creamed corn recipe. My husband and I both think this will be a delicious addition to holiday dinners and everyday dinners alike. Definitely a keeper!

Made this recipe but alter it a bit. I smoked my corn first in a smoker and then followed the recipe. I did add a bit more of sugar and seasoning salt as well. Really great recipe. Thanks Pat and Gina.
