DELICIOUS! Followed the recipe to the letter and I'm glad I did! Lots of bell pepper and the barbecue sauce made this a winner compared to all other sloppy joes that I made in the past. If I added onion, I know it would have overpowered the bell pepper taste. Will make this again soon. Thanks for the recipe!

This is really tasty. I was a bit suspicious when I saw the bbq sauce but I thought I'd give it a try because I LOVE the Neelys. I've come to trust their recipes will be pleasing and I wasn't disappointed. Definitely going in my dinner rotation.

Pretty good but way to much BBQ sauce. I would make it again and just cut back the BBQ sauce. You can always add more but hard to take out!

I make this w/out the peppers, but instead I use chopped onion. Also, I think using the tomato sauce makes it too tomatoey, so I leave it out. We li8ke Stubb's barbeque sauce.

I think the last time I had sloppy joe’s was as a kid and I don’t remember liking it very much. found the Neely’s recipe and was intrigued by the bbq sauce. Everyone seemed to like this recipe and I HAVE TO AGREE!!! it’s sooo tasty! will definitely make again!
I added chopped red onion that i browned. the cup of bbq sauce (i used the honey bbq sauce from Kraft. a must have! was alittle bit much, so I added brown sugar as someone recommended, which cut down the taste of the bbq sauce. added alittle more tabasco and cayenne pepper as well.
made sure i juiced out some of that oil/fat after cooking down the meat before adding the rest of the ingredients.
next time, I will make the Neely’s BBQ sauce, as everyone seems to rave about :

REALLY good, ZERO complaints (and I have two PICKY kids age 4 and 6. only used 1/2 red and 1/2 green pepper (next time will use all of both. only used 1/2 cup of bbq sauce and I'm glad b/c otherwise I think it would have been too saucy and bbqy. REALLY good

Nice and easy. Has great flavor, and I don't usually care for sloppy Joe's.
