Maybe it's me but some stepes are missing from this recipe or I can't read one.
It tells you to reserve the corn & juice (it doen't say 1/2 of it or anything like that then it tells you to add reserve into the mix of milk, cream, cheese, and pepper salt and egg. Well if I do that, what do I put in the casseroler to pour the mix over? Also do we put some cheese and pepper on top? Seems like some of the steps are missing, and not having seen it on TV I can't fill in the missing steps.
Just an obervastion since I would like to make this and have it turn out good.

I don't know why I thought it didn't need to be but if you are using fresh corn from the cob it needs to be cooked first. Flavor was alright but add more cheese and definitely cook a little longer.

I've gotten some great recipes from the Neely's, but this one was not that great. It doesn't set up well, and needs way more sugar than what is called for.

I made this for Thanksgiving this year - my husband and his family are from Kentucky and I figure corn pudding is a southern thing. I have never made corn pudding before and was a little nervous about it especially because I had to use canned corn instead of fresh and wasn't sdure how to equate the amount in the can to an ear (I just guessed. There is a mistake in the recipe when they refer to the "reserved corn", but I just put everything in together. When I took it out of the oven it was not set in the middle as noted by some other reviewers, but once it sat on the counter for 15 minutes it set perfectly and was really tasty. I have put this one in my recipe box!

Very dissapointing. Had to keep it in the oven longer because it did not set as stated. Something was missing, and the recipe calls for reserved corn, well how can you have reserved corn if it is added with the liquid, there is no corn in the casserole, I had everyone read the recipe just in case I read it incorrectly, and we concluded that it was misstated. Will try Nigella's recipe and put this one on the back burner for now. I wish they would go over the recipes.

WONDERFUL!!!! My sister and I have a home together and are cooking all the time. We have always loved corn pudding but really have not found the one ....We have now !!!!!! perfect flavor and you don't have all of that corn starch that is in the other recipes that wants to kinda lump up on you.

I followed this recipe minus 1/4 tsp of the ceyenne, would not have mattered even if I had added the extra 1/4, because the custard pudding part did not set at all. normally my family will just eat it anyway, but we had throw this one out. It turned out bland and distcusting will try another bread pudding recipe because i still have left over ingredients, maybe alton browns
