This is the first pecan pie I've ever made. It was extremely simple and easy to put together. I took it to work to share with my "lunch bunch" and they loved it, too. It is very, very rich though, so a little goes a long way.

i tried your chocolate pecan pie and you just scored 10 stars from me baby,you know what the other 5 stars are for (smile baby... two thumbs up for gina for including your handsome brother-inlaw tony girl his smile and his handsome face makes my day,girl please dont be trying to give my honey away (hahahahaha tonys cooking is going to make me relocate all the way down there. (hahahahaha all you neelys thanks for sharing your great recipes....

My Family is from the South and we can cook but a Chocolate Pecan Pie... Wow!! Simply Delicious!! I made this for my sister Memorial Day BBQ. A big hit!!This was my first time ever making a Pecan Pie and the Neely's put that chocolate twist to theirs, Oh my goodness! Excellent! Thanks Tony for sharing such a great recipe!!

This is an excellent recipe. The first time you make it, it's a good pie. I have to say though (and I'm a big bourbon drinker the bourbon taste is strong and may not fly with a lot of people. I even have to tweak it 2 1/4 bourbon (and I like bourbon and I might add a touch more choc chips. Great recipe. If you are serving a group and you aren't sure about the bourbon, then you should reduce it.

I enjoyed this pecan pie. The only statement I had was that the recipe stated to melt the butter, but didn't say when to add it to the recipe. I guessed, but other than that, my family loved the pie.
